Row 0 - (preparatory, wrong side) edge, * 1 knit, 3 purl, * 1 knit, edge. Row 1 - (right side) edge. * 1 purl, 3 knit * 1 purl, edge. Row 2 - (wrong side) Row 2 and all even rows are knitted as per the pattern. Row 3 - (right side) edge. * 1 purl, 3 knit * 1 purl, edge. Row 5 - (right side) edge, 1 purl, * 3 knit, do not knit, and next to the purl stitches drop the needle down by 4 rows, knit a yarn over, place it on the left needle and knit together with the 1 knit stitch, then 2 knit, * 1 purl, edge. Row 7 - (right side) edge. * 1 purl, 3 knit * 1 purl, edge. Row 9 - (right side) edge, 1 purl, * 2 knit, then insert the needle 4 rows below next to the purl stitches, knit a yarn over, place it on the left needle and knit together with the 1 knit stitch * purl, edge.
