Knitting pattern "Snake"

Today we will look at the knitting pattern "Zsnake." As they say, there are never too many patterns!

The pattern itself is not very complicated; you just need to knit one repeat, and everything will go smoothly. It is a very simple, beautiful, lacy pattern that is also very elastic and resembles ribbing. You can knit any items with this pattern, both for children and adults, sweaters, cardigans, snoods, etc. Socks knitted with this pattern look very beautiful.

It looks great in any color.

So, let's get started.

To knit a sample, cast on a number of stitches (multiple of 4) 32 stitches + 1 stitch for symmetry + two edge stitches.

0 row - (preparatory purl side) edge, 1 knit* 1 knit, 3 purl,* edge.

1 row - (knit side) edge. * 1 purl, 3 knit. * 1 purl, edge.

2 row -(purl side) 2 row and all even rows are knitted according to the pattern

3 row - (knit side) edge. * 1 purl, 3 knit. * 1 purl, edge.

5 row - (knit side) edge, * 1 purl, 3 knit we count without knitting, and opposite the purl stitch we lower the needle down 4 rows, knit the elongated stitch, place it on the left needle and knit it together with 1 knit stitch, then 2 knit, * 1 purl, edge.

7 row - (knit side) edge. * 1 purl, 3 knit. * 1 purl, edge.

9 row - (knit side) edge. * 1 purl, 2 knit, then we insert the needle into the place where we knitted the elongated stitch in the previous row (there is a lacy hole), knit the elongated stitch, place it on the left needle and knit it together with 1 knit stitch * purl, edge.

Then the pattern repeats from 3 row
