Pattern "Ladder" knitting. A very nice, attractive pattern that is also quite simple to execute. It is a great find for beginners, consisting only of knit and purl stitches.

Where is such a pattern used, what can be knitted? Anything, any items for both adults and children.

The pattern repeat consists of 4 stitches in width and 2 rows in height.

So, let's get to work!

For the sample pattern, cast on a number of stitches that is a multiple of 4 + 2 edge stitches. The pattern will look neater and more attractive if you knit the knit and purl stitches in the classic way.

Row 1 - edge. * 2 knit, 2 purl * edge.

Row 2 - edge. * 2 stitches slip purlwise (yarn in front), 2 purl * edge.

Then the pattern repeats from row 1.

Row 1 - edge. * 2 knit, 2 purl * edge.

Row 2 - edge. * 2 stitches slip purlwise (yarn in front), 2 purl * edge.
