Pattern ''Accordion'' with knitting needles

Accordion Pattern Knitting:

How to knit a double-sided accordion pattern for scarves, snoods, and blankets.

The number of stitches is a multiple of 10 + 1 + 2 edge stitches.

Knit according to the chart, which shows only the right-side rows.

In the wrong rows, knit the stitches as they appear.

Pattern Repeat = 10 stitches.

Start with 1 edge stitch, constantly repeat the pattern repeat, end with a stitch after the repeat and 1 edge stitch.

Row 1: edge stitch, * 5 knit stitches, 5 purl stitches, repeat from *, end with 1 knit stitch and edge stitch.

Row 2 and all even rows: knit the stitches as they appear.

Row 3: knit as Row 1.

Row 5: edge stitch, * 1 knit stitch, 5 purl stitches, 4 knit stitches, repeat from *, end with 1 knit stitch and edge stitch.

Row 7: knit as Row 5.

Repeat from Row 1 to Row 8 for height.
