📌 What is a “knot in 3 turns”?
This is a decorative element, indicated by a symbol with an arrow and a number (usually 5) — created by wrapping the yarn around a stitch or hook, and it is knitted in the following rows as 1 stitch.
Example (as described in magazines):
-
Knit 1 stitch, wrap it with yarn 3 times,
-
In the next row, knit 1 stitch from all the wraps together.
💡 How the pattern works:
-
Forms a lacy leaf/drop in the center with decorative knots.
-
Starts from the base upwards, expanding through yarn overs and decreases.
-
After the 28th row, you can repeat from the 1st to the 6th if you want to create stripes or a background.
