🔹 Initial chain:

Cast on (5 × N) + 2 chain stitches (where N — the number of rapports across the width of the item).

🔁 Pattern (repeat 2 rows):

1st row:

• 2 chain stitches for rise (instead of the first double crochet),

• *skip 5 chain stitches of the foundation,

• in the next stitch, work 1 double crochet with 3 yarn overs,

• now in the skipped 4 chain stitches of the foundation (in reverse order), perform 4 double crochets behind the inclined stitch with 3 yarn overs*.

• Repeat from * to * to the end of the row.

• At the end of the row — 1 double crochet in the last stitch of the foundation.

2nd row:

• 2 chain stitches for rise,

• *skip 4 double crochets of the previous row,

• in the inclined double crochet — work 1 new double crochet with 3 yarn overs,

• then in the skipped 4 double crochets (in reverse order, behind the inclined one) work 4 double crochets*.

• Repeat from * to *.

• At the end — 1 double crochet in the rise stitch of the previous row.
