Let's try to crochet a maple leaf. In anticipation of the upcoming autumn, this motif, used in Irish lace, becomes especially relevant.

The pattern is borrowed from the magazine “Duplet”. Start crocheting from the black dot in the center of the leaf. First, crochet the central part of the leaf. Do not forget that when crocheting single crochet stitches, you should grab the next stitch through the back loop of the previous row.

From the black dot in the pattern, chain 16 stitches and then single crochet around them.

Crochet the central part of the leaf.

Then, following the pattern, move on to crocheting the upper left branch of the leaf.

After finishing the upper branch, proceed to crochet the lower left branch of the leaf.

After finishing the lower part, without cutting the yarn, single crochet one round to connect to the upper right branch and crochet this part of the leaf.

In a similar manner, symmetrically crochet the lower part. During the crocheting process, you can control the symmetry of the leaf by periodically folding it in half and comparing both parts.
