Bolero size 44
For knitting you will need:
300 g of mercerized cotton in pink (165 m/50 g).
Hook #2 for motifs, hook #2.5 for
dense pattern.
Knitting the model
The details of the front pieces, the back yoke, the lower part of the back, and
the sleeves are knitted from separate motifs and grouped into medallions,
joined together during the knitting process. In order for the sizes of the finished
bolero to match the intended ones,
you need to start by knitting samples
of the motifs according to diagrams 7, 7a, and 7b, and check them against the specifications in fig. 7a.
Next, proceed to knit the single lace piece (fig. 7b),
which consists of 16 blocks-medallions, assembled according to diagram 7v and 4 according to diagram 7g.
Then knit the lower part of the sleeves. For this, join the motifs into
medallions according to diagram 7d and assemble them into a circular fabric (see figure 7v).
The next step is to knit the middle part of the back with a dense pattern.
First, knit a row according to diagram 7e (to align the upper part of the lace
fabric),
continue knitting according to diagram 7ж.
Connect the lower part of the back yoke
with the middle part.
The upper part of the sleeve is knitted according
to diagram 7з, first making an alignment row (diagram 7e).
Attach the finished
sleeves to the armholes as follows: fold the bolero and sleeve pieces right sides
together and knit along the armhole contour
1 row of single crochet around the two pieces.
