Swans

For many, white swans are considered symbols of love and fidelity, and we could often see such porcelain figurines on the shelves in our grandmothers' homes. But you can also have such lovely items in your own home and make them not from porcelain, but from threads using a hook. To give them special charm, you should use a bit of fluffy yarn; angora works well, but be aware that even a small mistake will make unraveling the fabric very difficult.
The work itself is not complicated, but it requires at least a little experience to start. First you should be familiar with the basics of crochet, know what chain stitches are, as well as single crochet and double crochet stitches.

Crocheting the swan's body starts with its body. Make the first row - two chain stitches, six double crochets in the second chain from the hook.

Second row will be like this – 6 increases to the same pattern (12). Move directly to the third row – here there will be a single crochet, increase) * 6 (18). Fourth row - crochet two single crochets, increase * 6 (24). Row number five will be like this - three single crochets, increase * 6 (30). Do the sixth row - four single crochets, increase * 6 stitches (36). In the seventh row there will be 5 sc, increase * 6 (42). And when you do from the eighth to the 15th row — do single crochets in the round.

Next we continue crocheting the bird's neck, which, moreover, should be connected to the body without a break. Use 8 of the 42 stitches of the seventh row, crocheting eight sc and joining them into a small “tube”... after which do rows from the first to the seventeenth with single crochets in the round. To make the beak — change to another thread, yellow. Then crochet from the eighth to the 24th row in rounds with single crochets and finish the crochet.

It is good if you make a single wire frame for the body and neck of the swan. There should be a loop in the body, otherwise the swan will tilt to the side. Insert the frame inside, lightly stuff the body and sew it, folding the remaining stitches of the seventh row in half, not forgetting to make a tail.

No swan can be without wings; they are an integral part of this bird, so we proceed to create them.

The wings are made as follows.

First row — two chain stitches, four double crochets in the second chain from the hook. For rows 2–30 — crochet single crochets in the round.

Thus you have 30 rows of four stitches each. Fold the existing piece in half and crochet the wings separately. You will need to crochet the pieces along the outer stitches, along the edge.
