TRAIN CHOO-CHOO

Materials:
For knitting you will need yarn of different colors (at your discretion), a hook, iris threads, buttons for wheels. 
Legend:
ch - chain stitch
sc - single crochet
sl st - slip stitch
increase - 2 sc in the stitch of the previous row
decrease – 2 sc crocheted together.
We start knitting with the locomotive.

1 part:
We start knitting with white yarn
Row 1: chain 2 and crochet 6 sc in the second stitch from the hook [6 sc].
Row 2: increase x 6 times [12 sc].
Row 3: (1 sc, increase) x 6 times [18 sc].
Row 4: (2 sc, increase) x 6 times [24 sc].
Row 5: (3 sc, increase) x 6 times [30 sc].
Row 6: (4 sc, increase) x 6 times [36 sc].
Row 7: (5 sc, increase) x 6 times [42 sc].
Row 8: (6 sc, increase) x 6 times [48 sc].
Row 9: 48 sc in the back loop, sl st.
Change to yellow yarn
Rows 10-29: crochet in a circle 48 sc.
Do not decrease, stuff and we will sew to the second part this way.
2 part:
Knit with green yarn
Row 1: chain 2 and crochet 6 sc in the second stitch from the hook [6 sc].
Row 2: increase x 6 times [12 sc].
Row 3: (1 sc, increase) x 6 times [18 sc].
Row 4: (2 sc, increase) x 6 times [24 sc].
Row 5: (3 sc, increase) x 6 times [30 sc].
Row 6: (4 sc, increase) x 6 times [36 sc].
Row 7: 36 sc in the back loop.
Rows 8-31: crochet 36 sc in a circle.
Change to white yarn
Row 32: 36 sc.
Row 33: 36 sc in the back loop.
Row 34: (4 sc, decrease) x 6 times [30 sc].
Row 35: (3 sc, decrease) x 6 times [24 sc].
Row 36: (2 sc, decrease) x 6 times [18 sc]. – stuff the head with synthetic fiber.
Row 37: (1 sc, decrease) x 6 times [12 sc].
Row 38: decrease until closing. 
At the junction of white and green colors, we crochet one row of sc.
Sew the parts together, leaving a little space for the platform.
Window
Knit with white yarn 14 ch, crochet 13 sc. Knit 5 straight rows of 13 sc, at the end of the row ch. Edge all around the window with green yarn. Sew on. 
Door:
White yarn
Row 1: Chain 8, crochet 7 sc.
Rows 2 – 15: crochet 7 sc in straight rows.
Edge one side with green yarn, embroider or crochet a handle on the door. Sew on.
Crochet two steps below the stairs with green yarn, 9 sc each.
Small headlights 2 pcs:
Chain 2, crochet 6 sc. Sew on.
Pipe:
Knit with green yarn.
Row 1: chain 18, join in a circle.
Row 2: crochet 18 sc in a circle.
Row 10: (1 sc, inc) 9 times 27 sc.
Row 11: 27 sc.
Row 12: (2 sc, dec) 6 times, 3 sc 21 sc.
Row 13: Crochet 21 sc with white yarn.
Sew on the pipe, stuff a little.
Searchlight:
Knit with white yarn
Row 1: chain 2 and crochet 6 sc in the second stitch from the hook [6 sc].
Row 2: increase x 6 times [12 sc].
Change to green yarn
Row 3: 12 sc.
Decrease until closing.
With black yarn, embroider rays. Sew on in front of the pipe.
Platform:
Knit with green yarn. 
Row 1: Chain 19, crochet 18 sc. 
Rows 2-11: crochet 18 sc in straight rows.
Then crochet in rounds and sew the platform to the locomotive. 
Border:
Knit with white yarn.
Row 1: Chain 9, crochet 8 sc.
Row 2: increase 8 times - 16 sc.
Rows 3-4: ch, 16 sc, ch.
Row 5: 16 sc with green yarn.
Lanterns 2 parts:
Knit with white yarn
Row 1: chain 2 and crochet 6 sc in the second stitch from the hook [6 sc].
Row 2: increase x 6 times [12 sc].
Knit with yellow yarn.
Row 3: 12 sc in the back loop.
Row 4: (1 sc, increase) x 6 times [18 sc].
Row 5: 18 sc.
Row 6: (1 sc, decrease) x 6 times [12 sc].
Row 7: decrease until closing. 
Sew on. 
Sew on the button-wheels and the locomotive is ready.
Now we knit the cars, there can be as many as you like and in any color. 
Car:

Knit with blue yarn.
Row 1: Chain 21 and crochet 20 sc.
Rows 2-13: crochet 20 sc in straight rows, at the end of the row ch.
Rows 14-16: edge in rounds with orange yarn.
Rows 17-18: crochet in a circle, decrease 4 times at the corners.
Rows 19-23: crochet in a circle.
Rows 24-25: in the middle of the row crochet stripes with blue yarn.
Rows 26-29: crochet in a circle with orange yarn.
Bottom of the car:
Knit with blue yarn.
Row 1: Chain 21 and crochet 20 sc.
Rows 2-13: crochet 20 sc in straight rows, at the end of the row ch. 
Sew to the car. 
Window 2 parts:
Knit with white yarn.
Row 1: Chain 7, crochet 6 sc.
Rows 2-5: crochet 6 sc in straight rows, at the end of the row ch.
Edge with blue yarn, sew on to the car. 
Sew on button-wheels.
