Bolero, dress and bonnet for a girl

Materials:

Yarn Anny Blatt Luxor forget-me-not color 358 for the dress 4 (4/5) skeins, for the bolero 3 (3/4) skeins, for the hat 1 skein. Needles No.3.5, spare needle, hook No.3, 5 buttons. 

Sizes: 9 months (12 months/18 months)

Garter stitch, Stockinette stitch.

Lace pattern: the number of stitches is a multiple of 22 + 1 st for symmetry + 2 selvedge stitches.

Row 1: selvedge. * 1 knit, yarn over, 9 knit, 1 double decrease (slipped stitch, next 2 together knit, yarn over the previously slipped stitch), 9 knit, 1 yarn over*. Repeat from * to * and finish with 1 knit, 1 selvedge.

Row 2: all purl. Repeat these 2 rows.

Fantasy pattern: the number of stitches is a multiple of 8 + 1 st for symmetry + 2 selvedge stitches.

Row 1 and Row 3: 1 selvedge, *4 knit, 1 twisted knit stitch (knit through the back loop), 3 knit*, repeat from * to * and finish with 1 knit and 1 selvedge. Row 2 and Row 4: 1 selvedge, 1 purl, *3 purl, 1 twisted purl, 4 purl.* repeat from * to * and finish with 1 selvedge.

Row 5: 1 selvedge, *2 knit, 1 fantasy stitch to the left (take the hook, insert under the horizontal thread connecting the 4th stitch with the twisted stitch from the 1st row, yarn over the hook, pull out a long stitch, yarn over, insert the hook into the same stitch, yarn over and pull out a long stitch, 1 yarn over, pull the yarn through 3 stitches on the hook, transfer this stitch to the right needle), 2 knit, 1 twisted knit, 2 knit, 1 fantasy stitch to the right (insert hook after the twisted stitch from the 1st row and perform the same actions as when knitting the fantasy stitch to the left), 1 knit.*, repeat from * to * and finish with 1 knit, 1 selvedge.

Row 6: 1 selvedge, 1 purl, *2 together purl, 2 purl, 1 twisted purl, 2 purl, 2 together purl, 1 purl.*, repeat from * to * and finish with 1 selvedge.

Row 7: 1 selvedge, *1 twisted knit, 3 knit, 1 bobble (make 4 sts from one, turn, 4 purl, turn, 4 sts together knit), 3 knit.*, repeat from * to * and finish with 1 twisted knit, 1 selvedge.

Row 8 and Row 10: 1 selvedge, 1 twisted purl, *7 purl, 1 twisted purl.*, repeat from * to * and finish with 1 selvedge.

Row 9: 1 selvedge, *1 twisted knit, 7 knit.*, repeat from * to * and finish with 1 twisted knit, 1 selvedge.

Row 11: 1 selvedge, *1 twisted knit, 2 knit, 1 fantasy stitch to the right, 3 knit, 1 fantasy stitch to the left, 2 knit.*, repeat from * to * and finish with 1 twisted knit, 1 selvedge.

Row 12: 1 selvedge, 1 twisted purl, *2 purl, 2 together purl, 1 purl, 2 together purl, 2 purl, 1 twisted purl.*, repeat from * to * and finish with 1 selvedge.

Row 13: 1 selvedge, * 1 bobble, 3 knit, 1 twisted knit, 3 knit.*, repeat from * to * and finish with 1 bobble and 1 selvedge.

Repeat from Row 2 to Row 13.

Single crochet, Picot: *2 sc, 3 ch, 1 sl st in 1st ch, 1 sc*, repeat from * to *.

Sample: square 10x10 cm, fantasy pattern with needles No.3.5 = 27 sts x 36 rows.

Dress

FRONT

Cast on 113(125/135) sts, knit 2 rows of garter stitch and continue with lace pattern, starting with 1 selvedge, 0(6/0) sts of stockinette and the 1st st of the chart.

After 5, 10, 15, and 20 cm (6, 11, 16, 21 cm/ 9, 16 and 23 cm) distribute 10(10/12) decreases and knit them instead of double decreases: slip 1 and place it on a spare needle behind the work, slip the next stitch onto the right needle, put the stitch from the spare needle onto the left needle and knit 4 stitches together, pull the resulting stitch through the slipped one. Thus, 2 sts are decreased in each decrease.

After 25 (27/29) cm from the start, 73 (85/99) sts remain, continue with the fantasy pattern, starting with 1 selvedge and the 6th (8th/1st) stitch of the chart.

At the same time for the armholes, close 1-4 sts from each side, then in every 2nd row close 1(2/3) x 3 sts, 2 x 2 sts, and 3 x 1 st. 45 (51 59) sts remain.

After 29 (32/35) cm from the start, create the neckline by closing 9(11/11) middle stitches, then continue the work separately, closing from each side of the neckline in every 2nd row 1-3 sts, 2(3/3) x 2 sts and 3 (2/2) x 1 st.

After 35 (38/41) cm close the remaining 8 (9/13) stitches. BACK

Cast on the same number of stitches and knit the same as the front.

After 26 (28/30) cm from the start, close the center stitch and continue knitting the sides separately. Do not create a depth for the neckline.

After 35 (38/41) sts close the remaining 22 (25/29) sts. Mark 14 (16/16) sts from the inside with a contrasting thread for the neckline.

SLEEVES

Cast on 61 (65/67) sts with needles No.3.5, knit 2 rows of garter stitch, then continue with fantasy pattern, starting with 1 selvedge and the 4th (2nd/1st) st of the chart. Increase from each side in every 2nd row: 3 x 1 st. (after 4 rows 1 x 1 st. and in every 2nd row 2 x 1 st./ in every 4th row 3 x 1 st.) The result is 67 (71/73) sts.

After 2 (3/5) cm from the start create the rounding by closing 1-3 sts from each side, then in every

2nd row close 6 x 2 sts, 2(4/4) x 1 st, 1 x 2 sts, and 1 x 3 sts.

Close the remaining 23 (23/25) sts.

In the same way, knit the other sleeve.

ASSEMBLY

Sew the shoulders, pick up along the neckline of the front and the back opening 116 (126/130) sts: 23 (25/27) from each side of the opening, 15 (16/16) sts from each side of the conditional back neckline and 40 (44/44) sts along the front neckline, knit 1 row of knit, then close. Make side seams and sew the sleeves. Attach the sleeves to the armholes, slightly gathering them. Around the neckline, along the opening, at the bottom of the sleeves, knit 1 row of single crochet and 1 row of picot with hook No.3.

ATTENTION

From the right side of the back opening distribute 5 little stitches of 2 sts each (2 ch, skip 2 sts), place the first stitch at the neckline, distribute the remaining evenly. Sew on the buttons.
 

Bolero

BACK

Cast on 77 (81/87) sts with needles No.3.5, knit 2 rows of garter stitch, then continue with fantasy pattern, starting with 1 selvedge and the 4th (6th/3rd) st of the chart.

After 9 (9/10) cm from the start create armholes by closing 1-4 sts from each side, then in every 2nd row close 1-3 sts, 2(2/1) x 2sts and 2 (2/1) x 1 st.

51 (57/65) sts remain.

After 20 (21/23) cm from the start close all stitches.

Mark 29 (33/33) middle stitches with a contrasting thread to mark the neckline.

RIGHT FRONT

Cast on 34 (36/39) sts with needles No.3.5, knit 2 rows of garter stitch, then continue with fantasy pattern, starting with 1 selvedge and the 3rd stitch of the chart.

Increase on the right side in every 4th row 4 (4/2) x 1 st., and in every 6th row 1 (1/3) x 1 st.

After 7 (7/9) cm from the start create the neckline by closing 1 st. on the right, then in every 4th row: 8 x 1 st. and in every 2nd row 6 (8/8) x 1 st.

At the same time: after 9 (9/10) cm from the start create the armhole, closing stitches from the left side, as for the back armhole.

After 20 (21/23) cm from the start close the remaining stitches.

Knit the left front symmetrically. Start knitting the fantasy pattern as on the back.

SLEEVES

Cast on 47 (47/51) sts with needles No.3.5, knit 2 rows of garter stitch, then continue with fantasy pattern, starting with 1 selvedge and the 7th (7th/5th) st of the chart.

Increase from each side in every 8th row 7 x 1 st. (in every 8th row 7 x 1 st. and after 6 rows 11 x 1 st./ in every 10th row 4 x 1 st. and in every 8th row 4 x 1 st.) The result is 61 (63/67) sts.

After 17 (19/22) cm from the start create the rounding by closing 1-3 sts from each side, then in every 2 rows 3 (3/4) x 2 sts, 9 (10/9) x 1 st., 1 x 2 sts, 1 x 3 sts. Close the remaining 15 (15/17) sts.

ASSEMBLY

Sew the shoulder seams. Along the fronts and the back neckline, cast on 140 (146/154) sts. (56 (58/62) sts along each front and 28 (30/30) sts along the back neckline), knit 1 row of knit, then close the stitches. Make side seams and sew the sleeves. Insert the sleeves into the armholes. At the bottom of the sleeves, along the fronts and the bottom of the back (around the bolero) knit 1 row of single crochet and 1 row of picot with hook No.3.

HAT

Cast on 123 (135) sts with needles No.3.5 and knit 2 rows of garter stitch, then continue with fantasy pattern, starting with 1 selvedge and the 1st st. of the chart.

After 7(8) cm from the start continue with lace pattern as follows:

Row 1: 1 selvedge, *1 knit, 1 yarn over, 8 (9) knit, 1 double decrease, 8 (9) knit, 1 yarn over*, repeat from * to * 6 times total and finish with 1 knit, 1 selvedge.

Row 2 and all even rows: all purl.

Rows 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, and 15: replace the double decrease with a decrease (see in the dress description).

Attention: In rows 13 and 15 do not make yarn overs! Pull the yarn through the remaining stitches and pull them together.

ASSEMBLY

Make the seam. At the bottom of the hat and on the 1st row of the lace pattern, knit 1 row of sc and 1 row of picot with hook No.3.
