Children's dress
Size: 6-12 months
Materials:

  • Thin yarn, approximately 100 g / 750 m

  • Hook USD (3 mm) and US E (3.5 mm) or sizes needed to achieve the desired knitting density

  • 3 buttons 5 mm wide

  • Yarn needle

  • Knitting density with the smaller hook:
    12 dc = 5 cm
    7 rows = 5 cm

Abbreviations
ch – chain stitch (in the diagram)
sc – single crochet (short stick in the diagram)
dc – double crochet (long crossed stick)
hdc – half double crochet – small arch in the diagram, appears only in row 31 before decrease.

Yoke
With a smaller hook, very loosely chain 91 ch

Row 1: 1 dc in the 4th ch from the hook and in each ch to the end of the row = 89 dc, 3 ch, turn.
Row 2: 1 dc in the next dc, *(1 ch, skip 1 dc, 1 dc in the next 2 dc) – 2 times, (1 ch, skip 1 dc, 1 dc in the next dc) – 6 times, repeat from * 3 times, resulting in 11 stitches.
Row 3 (right side): 3 ch (counts as the first dc), * 2 dc, 1 ch, skip 1 dc, 2 dc; repeat from * 4 times, (1 ch, skip 1 dc, 2 dc) – 6 times; repeat pattern 2–8 (item) from * a total of 4 times; resulting = each stitch to the end: 105 dc.

Rows 4–10: Continue to knit the pattern, starting each row with 3 ch, ending with 1 dc.

Row 11 (increase): switch to a larger hook, 3 ch, 1 dc in the next 2 dc., *in the arch of 1 ch – 1 dc, 1 ch, 1 dc, in the next 2 dc – 1 dc each.; repeat from * to the end of the row = 121 dc.

Row 12: 3 ch, * 2 dc, 1 ch, 2 dc in the next arch; repeat from * to the end of the row = 30 arches.
Row 13: 3 ch, 2 dc in the arch, *(2 ch, 3 dc in the arch) – repeat from * to the end = 30 shells.
Row 14: 3 ch, * 1 dc in each dc (total 3 dc), 2 dc in the arch; repeat from * to the end = 150 dc.
Row 15: 3 ch, 1 dc in the next 3 dc., *(2 dc in the arch, 5 dc in the next 5 dc); repeat from * to the end = 180 dc.

Separation into back, front, and sleeves:
Row 16: 3 ch, 1 dc in the next 27 dc., *(1 dc in the next dc, 2 ch, skip 36 dc) – 2 times, 1 dc in the next 54 dc, 1 dc in the next dc, 2 ch, skip 36 dc, 1 dc in the next 28 dc. = 117 dc.

Row 17: 3 ch, dc in each stitch to 2 ch, 2 dc in the arch, 1 dc in the next 54 dc, 2 dc in the arch, dc to the end = 123 dc.

Row 24: 3 ch, dc to the end. Start knitting in the round.

Row 25: * 1 dc in the next 2 dc, 2 ch, skip 2 dc, 1 dc in the next 2 dc, 1 ch, skip 1 dc, 1 dc in the next dc, 1 ch, skip 1 dc; repeat from * to the end.

Row 26: 1 sc in the next 2 dc, 4 dc in the arch, 1 sc in the next dc, 1 picot, 1 sc in the next dc, 4 dc in the arch, 1 sc in the next 2 dc; repeat from * to the end.

Finishing the sleeves:
Attach the yarn to the armhole, knit 1 row of sc, finish with a slip stitch, repeat on the other side.

Belt:
Chain of 100 ch. Thread through the holes at the waist level.

Finishing the neckline and placket:
Attach the yarn to the upper right part of the back and finish around itself and the front with a smaller hook, connecting the ch from the bottom right part. Repeat for the left side. Sew buttons opposite the loops.

Diagram:
Crochet a chain of 6 ch, join in a circle. Row 1: 3 ch, 11 dc in the circle (12 dc); Row 2: 3 ch, * 1 dc, 1 ch; repeat 2 times, 1 dc; Row 3: 3 ch, 1 dc, 1 ch; repeat 3 times.




Explanation:

Skirt diagram:

  • Rows from 1 to 31, including rows with fans, double crochets, and chain stitches.

  • The main pattern starts with expanding "fans", alternating with single double crochets.

  • From row 13 to 22 the pattern is repeated (noted: «repeat rows 4–8»).

  • From row 23 to 31 – this is the finishing, including arches and the last row with "picot" (or similar finishing).

Sleeve diagram:

  • Rows from 1 to 10.

  • It is noted that rows 5–9 repeat rows 1–4.

  • Finished with a connecting row on the edge (possibly a finishing or decorative edge).


Explanation under the diagram:

  • Thread a ribbon 65 cm long through the row with "windows" on the yoke, hide the ends on the inside.

  • Thread a ribbon 118 cm long through the row with "windows" on the skirt, tie a bow in front.
