Master Class on Booties for Newborns

You will need:

- hook No. 2.5,
- half-wool yarn, or cotton in two colors,
- satin ribbons for laces.

Size: 0-3 months.

Crochet the sole according to the pattern.

We will crochet the sole with single crochet stitches, inserting the hook into the penultimate row (with reverse relief single crochet stitches), you should have a total of 60 single crochet stitches. Find the center of the product by folding it in half. Start counting stitches from the center of the bootie.

From rows 2 to 4, crochet with single crochet stitches = 60
Row 5 – 24 single crochet stitches, 2 single crochet stitches in one stitch*, 9 single crochet stitches, 2 single crochet stitches in one stitch*, 24 single crochet stitches.
Row 6 – 17 single crochet stitches, 24 double crochet stitches worked in such a way that each pair has one peak, 17 single crochet stitches.
Row 7 – 17 single crochet stitches, 2 double crochet stitches* – three pairs, 1 double crochet stitch, 2 double crochet stitches* – three pairs, 18 double crochet stitches.
Row 8 – 17 single crochet stitches, 8 double crochet stitches with one peak, 17 single crochet stitches, 2 chain stitches, slip stitch. Cut the yarn.

Crochet the tongue.

Cast on stitches with single crochet on 10 medium stitches. Crochet 9 rows of single crochet. Row 10 – 2 single crochet stitches with one peak, 6 single crochet stitches, 2 single crochet stitches with one peak. Cut the yarn and carefully hide the tail.

Let's move on to the "sides" of the bootie.

Cast on 4 chain stitches and starting from the next stitch from the "tongue", continue crocheting with single crochet stitches, at the end of the row cast on 4 chain stitches + 1 chain stitch (for height).
Row 2 – all single crochet stitches.
Row 3 – 2 single crochet stitches, 1 chain stitch, the next single crochet stitch is worked in the 4th stitch of the previous row, finish the row with single crochet stitches, the last 3 stitches are worked as follows: the 3rd from the end – chain stitch, 2 single crochet stitches (for the lace holes).

Row 4 – all single crochet stitches.
Row 5 – crochet similarly to row 3.
Row 6 – all single crochet stitches.
Cut the yarn and hide it.

All edges, including the sole, are finished with decorative yarn. Thread the laces made of satin ribbon, or you can crochet a chain of chain stitches.
