Knitting Pattern "Goose Feet", description

To knit the pattern "Goose Feet", cast on a number of stitches multiple of 4 + 3 stitches for symmetry and + 2 edge stitches.

Row 1 (wrong side):
edge stitch, *3 purl, 1 knit, repeat from * to the last 4 stitches in the row, 3 purl, edge stitch.

Row 2 (right side):
edge stitch, 1 purl, skip the first stitch, insert the needle between the second and third stitches, pull out the knit stitch, make a yarn over, knit the skipped stitch (= 3 stitches from one), 2 purl, repeat from * to the last 4 stitches, end with 1 purl, skip the first stitch, insert the needle between the second and third stitches, pull out the knit stitch, make a yarn over, knit the skipped stitch (= 3 stitches from one), 1 purl, edge stitch.

  • — we increased from 4 stitches in the repeat to 6 stitches and from 3 symmetry stitches to 5 stitches.

Row 3 (wrong side):
edge stitch, *2 knit, 3 purl, 1 knit, repeat from * to the last 4 stitches, 2 knit, 3 purl, 1 knit, edge stitch.

Row 4 (right side):
edge stitch, *2 together knit to the right, 1 knit, 2 together knit to the left, 1 purl, repeat from * to the last 6 stitches, end with 2 together knit, 1 knit, 2 together knit to the left, edge stitch.

Repeat rows 1–4 for the pattern

Size — from 0 to 3 months.
You will need 450 g of yarn with a thickness of 150 m per 100 g. needles No. 3 or No. 4
Description: Cast on 61 stitches or 36 cm and knit 8 rows or 3-4 cm with the BUMPY RIB pattern. Then switch to the GOOSE FEET pattern and knit 6 patterns or 11 cm.
Close the back of the hood according to the middle 3 patterns.
Cast on stitches at the bottom of the hood and knit ribbing 1x1 for 3-4 cm.
Calculate the raglan line as shown in the video and knit making increases on the raglan lines in every right row by two stitches on the raglan. Knit to the armhole line 12 cm or 7 patterns.
Sleeves: start knitting on the right side — knit the first 10 stitches to the first raglan line and place them on an additional needle. Then knit only the sleeve, decreasing 1 stitch from each side every 4-6 rows. Knit to the desired length — for me, this is 9 patterns from the armhole or 15-16 cm. Finish the sleeve with ribbing. Similarly, knit the second sleeve.
The lower part of the envelope: gather all stitches on one needle and knit the bottom of the envelope to a length equal to the height of the child. Yours may be a different size. But for me, it's 52 cm or 24 patterns.
Then switch to knitting the front part — close 7 stitches from both sides at once and then knit to the armhole. Leave 5 stitches for the placket on each side. On the plackets, you will need to make buttonholes on both sides every 16 rows.
Once you reach the armhole, start knitting, decreasing stitches in every right row by 1 stitch from both sides and knit to the ribbing line around the neck.
Finish knitting with ribbing.Photo by Oksana Gorbaleva.
