Pattern «Owl»

The pattern «Owl» is made with needles. Simple in execution but visually interesting, it will be a wonderful decoration for a pocket, hat, children's sweater, etc.

For the sample, cast on 22 stitches.

Row 1: knit;
Row 2: knit;
Row 3: edge, 1 purl, 18 knit, 1 purl, edge;
Row 4: knit according to the pattern;
Row 5: edge, 2 purl, 4 stitches crossed to the right: place 2 knit stitches on a holding needle behind the work, knit the next 2 stitches, then knit the 2 stitches from the holding needle 1 knit, 1 purl; 1 knit, 1 purl, 1 knit, 1 purl, 1 knit, 1 purl, 1 knit, 1 purl, 4 stitches crossed to the left: place 2 knit stitches on a holding needle in front of the work, knit the next 2 stitches 1 knit, 1 purl, then knit the 2 stitches from the holding needle; 2 purl, edge;
Rows 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16: edge, 2 knit, 2 purl, 1 purl, 1 knit, 1 purl, 1 knit, 1 purl, 1 knit, 1 purl, 1 knit, 1 purl, 1 knit, 2 purl, 2 knit, edge;
Rows 7, 9, 11, 13, 15: edge, 2 purl, 2 knit, 1 knit, 1 purl, 1 knit, 1 purl, 1 knit, 1 purl, 1 knit, 1 purl, 1 knit, 1 purl, 1 knit, 1 purl, 2 knit, 2 purl, edge;
Row 17: edge, 2 purl, 4 knit stitches placed on a holding needle behind the work, knit the next 4 stitches, then knit the 4 stitches from the holding needle, 4 knit stitches placed on a holding needle in front of the work, knit the next 4 stitches, then knit the 4 stitches from the holding needle, 2 purl, edge;
Rows 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24: knit according to the pattern;
Row 25: edge, 2 purl, 4 knit stitches placed on a holding needle behind the work, knit the next 4 stitches, then knit the purl 4 stitches from the holding needle, 4 knit stitches placed on a holding needle in front of the work, knit the next 4 stitches, then knit the knit 4 stitches from the holding needle, 2 purl, edge;
Row 26: edge, 2 knit, 4 purl, 8 knit, 4 purl, 2 knit, edge;
Row 27: edge, 2 purl, 4 knit, 8 purl, 4 knit, 2 purl, edge;
Row 28: knit;
Row 29: purl;
Row 30: bind off stitches according to the pattern.
Sew on eyes or make them with a needle and black thread.
