You will need: 150 grams of yarn with a thickness of about 331 m per 140 g (100% acrylic Bernat Softee Baby), circular and double-pointed needles size 4, 2 stitch holders, a hook, 5 buttons. Size: From 0 to 6 months. Instructions for larger sizes are given in parentheses. Note. Increases are made by knitting two from one stitch: first knit the stitch through the front loop, then through the back loop of the same stitch. For boys, you can skip the decorative row at the bottom of the jacket and sleeves, leaving only the garter stitch finish. Description. Cast on 60 stitches. Rows 1-2: Knit. Row 3: (knit row): buttonhole row for boys: 2 knit, yarn over, 2 knit together, knit to the end of the row; for girls: knit to the last 4 stitches, 1 knit, yarn over, 2 knit together, 1 knit. Continue to knit in stockinette stitch, making garter stitch bands, for another 2 (6) rows. In the last row, decrease evenly so that 36 stitches remain. Next row: *2 purl, slip 2 stitches, yarn in front, repeat from * Next row: All knit. Repeat the last 2 rows.
