Measurements:
Chest: 45.5 [50.5, 55.5, 61, 66, 71, 76] cm.
Length: 25.5 [28, 30.5, 33, 39.5, 43, 48] cm.

You will need:
1 [1, 2, 2, 2, 3, 3] skein of Dream In Color Classy yarn [100% superwash merino; 229 m in 113 g.]
Needles:
# 4 double-pointed needles
# 4 straight or circular needles
# 4.5 straight or circular needles (or other suitable gauge)
Extra needle for cables
Stitch markers
Yarn needle
2 buttons (for the first two sizes)

Gauge:

26 sts and 28 rows = 10 cm in cable pattern with larger needles.

Explanation of charts.
The blue lines on the chart divide the chart into three parts: left, middle, and right.
Knitting each size starts from a different row of the chart so that the cable pattern finishes at an appropriate place for the neckline finishing. Start knitting depending on the size from row 1 [23, 19, 17, 3, 23, 13] of the left part of chart 2 [2, 2, 3, 3, 3, 4] times, then the middle part of the chart 1 time, and the right part of the chart 2 [2, 2, 3, 3, 3, 4] times, 0 knit [2, 2, 0, 2, 2, 0], (2 purl, 2 knit) 0 [0, 1, 0, 0, 1, 0] times, 2 purl [3, 3, 2, 3, 2, 2].
Knit the edge stitches as shown in the chart, after completing the chart on row 28, repeat rows 1-28 of the chart 0 [1, 1, 1, 1, 2, 2] more times, then complete rows 1-5 of the chart once.

Armhole.

Row 1 (Right side): Bind off 4 [4, 4, 5, 5, 5, 6] sts, continue knitting according to the chart: 56 [62, 70, 75, 81, 87, 94] sts.
Row 2: Bind off 4 [4, 4, 5, 5, 5, 6] sts, continue knitting according to the chart: 52 [58, 66, 70, 76, 82, 88] sts.
Row 3 (Decreasing row): 2 knit, 2 together knit left-leaning, knit according to the chart to the last 4 sts, 2 together knit, 2 knit.
Row 4: Knit according to the chart.
Repeat rows 3 and 4 2 [3, 3, 3, 4, 4, 4] more times: 46 [50, 58, 62, 66, 72, 78] sts.
Continue knitting according to the chart until the armhole reaches 9.5 [11.5, 12.5, 14, 15, 16.5, 17.5] cm, stop after knitting a knit row.

Neckline and shoulder slopes.

Next row (Wrong side): Bind off 0 [0, 4, 4, 5, 5, 6], knit the next 12 [14, 11, 11, 12, 12, 13] sts according to the chart {12 [14, 12, 12, 13, 13, 14] sts on the right needle}, slip the stitches from the right needle onto a temporary stitch holder (for the left shoulder slope), bind off the next 22 [22, 26, 30, 30, 36, 38] (for the neckline), then knit according to the chart: 12 [14, 16, 16, 18, 18, 20] sts.

Right shoulder slope.

Row 1: Bind off 3 [4, 4, 4, 5, 5, 6] sts, knit according to the chart to the last 3 sts, 2 together knit, 1 knit: 8 [9, 11, 11, 12, 12, 13] sts.
Row 2: Knit according to the chart.
Row 3: Bind off 3 [4, 5, 5, 5, 5, 6] sts, knit according to the chart to the last 3 sts, 2 together knit, 1 knit: 4 [4, 5, 5, 6, 6, 6] sts.
Bind off remaining stitches.

Left shoulder slope.

Only for sizes 6 and 12 months.
With the right side facing you, transfer the stitches from the temporary holder onto a free needle.
Row 1 (Right side): 1 knit, 2 together knit left-leaning, 5 knit [7], turn work to knit a short row.
Before turning, it is advisable to perform the following procedure:

With the right side facing you, transfer the stitches from the temporary holder onto a free needle.
Row 1 (Right side): 1 knit, 2 together knit left-leaning, knit according to the chart to the end of the row: 11 [11, 12, 12, 13] sts.
Row 2: Bind off 5 [5, 5, 5, 6], knit according to the chart: 6 [6, 7, 7, 7] sts.
Row 3: 1 knit, 2 together knit left-leaning, bind off remaining stitches.

FRONT.
Start knitting like the back, finish the knitting chart at Row 28, then knit Rows 1-28 of the chart 0 [1, 1, 1, 1, 2, 2] times.
Knit Rows 1-3 of the chart.
Place a marker after 30 [33, 37, 40, 43, 46, 50] sts to mark the center of the front.

Neckline and armhole.

The armhole is constructed the same way as for the back, while simultaneously creating the neckline.
Next row (Right side): Knit according to the chart to 4 sts from the central marker, 1 purl, slip the next stitch onto a spare needle behind the work, 2 knit, 1 knit from the spare needle, replace the marker, slip the next 2 sts onto a spare needle in front of the work, 1 knit, 2 knit from the spare needle, 1 purl, continue knitting according to the chart.
Next row: Knit according to the chart, purling the 6 central stitches.
Next row: Bind off 4 [4, 4, 5, 5, 5, 6] sts, knit according to the chart to 4 sts from the center marker, 2 together knit, 2 knit, slip the marker and transfer the 25 [28, 32, 34, 37, 40, 43] just knitted stitches onto a temporary stitch holder (for the left front), 2 knit, 2 together knit left-leaning, continue knitting according to the chart: 29 [32, 36, 39, 42, 45, 49] sts.

RIGHT FRONT.

Continue knitting according to the chart between the decreases for the armhole and neckline.
Row 1: Bind off 4 [4, 4, 5, 5, 5, 6] sts, knit according to the chart: 25 [28, 32, 34, 37, 40, 43] sts.
Row 2: 2 knit, 2 together knit left-leaning, knit according to the chart to the last 4 sts, 2 together knit, 2 knit: 23 [26, 30, 32, 35, 38, 41] sts.
Continue decreasing by 1 stitch at the armhole edge in every knit row 2 [3, 3, 3, 4, 4, 4] more times, while also performing a 1 stitch decrease for the neckline in every knit row 11 [11, 13, 15, 15, 18, 19] more times: 10 [12, 14, 14, 16, 16, 18] sts.
Knit according to the chart until the front and back are of equal length (at the start of the shoulder slope), stop after knitting a knit row.

Shoulder slope.

Row 1 (Wrong side): Bind off 3 [4, 4, 4, 5, 5, 6] sts, knit according to the chart: 7 [8, 10, 10, 11, 11, 12] sts.
Row 2: Knit according to the chart.
Row 3: Bind off 3 [4, 5, 5, 5, 5, 6] sts, knit according to the chart: 4 [4, 5, 5, 6, 6, 6] sts.
Bind off remaining stitches.

LEFT FRONT.

With the wrong side facing you, transfer the 25 [28, 32, 34, 37, 40, 43] held stitches onto free needles.
Row 1: Knit according to the chart.
Row 2: 2 knit, 2 together knit left-leaning, knit according to the chart to the last 4 sts, 2 together knit, 2 knit: 23 [26, 30, 32, 35, 38, 41] sts.
Continue decreasing by 1 stitch at the armhole edge in every knit row 2 [3, 3, 3, 4, 4, 4] more times, while also performing a 1 stitch decrease for the neckline in every knit row 11 [11, 13, 15, 15, 18, 19] more times: 10 [12, 14, 14, 16, 16, 18] sts.
Knit according to the chart until the front and back are of equal length (at the start of the shoulder slope), stop after knitting a purl row.

Left shoulder slope.

Only for sizes 6 months and 12 months.
Row 1 (Right side): 2 knit, yarn over, 2 together knit, knit to the end of the row.
Row 2: 7 purl [8], turn work to knit a short row.
Row 3: Knit to the end of the row.
Row 4: 3 purl [4], turn work to knit a short row.
Row 5: 2 together knit, yarn over, 1 knit [2].
Row 6: Purl to the end of the row.
Bind off all stitches.

Only for sizes 18 months – 8 years {18 months [2 years, 4, 6, 8]}

Row 1: Knit according to the chart.
Row 2: Bind off 4 [4, 5, 5, 6] sts, knit according to the chart: 10 [10, 11, 11, 12] sts.
Row 3: Bind off 5 [5, 5, 5, 6] sts, knit according to the chart: 5 [5, 6, 6, 6] sts.
Row 4: Knit according to the chart.
Row 5: Bind off remaining stitches.

ASSEMBLY.

Sew the right shoulder slopes for sizes 6 and 12 months; for other sizes – sew the left and right shoulder slopes.

Sew the side seams.

Ribbing for the right armhole.
With the right side facing you and using double-pointed needles, pick up 3 stitches from every four rows of the armhole edge.
Rows 1-5: Knit in 1x1 ribbing (1 knit, 1 purl).
Bind off all stitches loosely.

Ribbing for the left armhole.
For sizes 6 and 12 months.
With the right side facing you and using smaller straight needles, pick up 3 stitches from every four rows of the armhole edge.
Row 1: 1 purl, (1 knit, 1 purl) to the end of the row.
Row 2: 1 knit, (1 purl, 1 knit) to the end of the row.
Rows 3-5: Repeat Rows 1 and 2 once more, then repeat Row 1 once.
Bind off all stitches loosely.

For sizes 18 months – 8 years.
Knit as for the ribbing for the right armhole.

Ribbing for the neckline.

For sizes 6 and 12 months.
With the right side facing you and using straight needles, pick up stitches (each stitch) from the beginning of the left shoulder to the middle of the front neckline. Pick up a stitch from the yarn over (twist to avoid a hole) at the center of the front (between the left and right fronts), continue picking up stitches from the opposite side of the neckline, ensuring that the number of stitches is the same on both sides from the picked up central stitch of the front to the shoulder slope.
Row 1: 1 purl, (1 knit, 1 purl) to the end of the row.
Row 2: 1 knit, (1 purl, 1 knit) to the end of the row.
Rows 3-5: Repeat Rows 1 and 2 once more, then repeat Row 1 once.
Bind off all stitches loosely.

For sizes 18 months – 8 years.
With the right side facing you and using double-pointed needles, pick up stitches along the neckline edge to the middle of the front. Pick up a stitch from the yarn over (twist to avoid a hole) at the center of the front (between the left and right fronts), continue picking up stitches from the opposite side of the neckline, ensuring that the number of stitches is the same on both sides from the picked up central stitch of the front to the shoulder slope.
Rows 1-5: Knit in 1x1 ribbing (1 knit, 1 purl).
Bind off all stitches loosely.

For sizes 6 and 12 months.
Sew on the buttons.
