Yarn - mercerized cotton LILY from VITA cotton, color 1610, in reality a bit brighter than in the pictures in online stores, 125 m/50g. About 200 g was used. The recommended needle size is 3.5 - 4, I knitted with size 2. A lovely dress for a girl aged 1-2 YEARS. Skirt part A lovely dress for a girl aged 1-2 YEARS. The existing dresses/tunics have a bottom circumference of at least 70 cm. The sample achieved 25 stitches - 8.5 cm. That is, more than 200 stitches are needed. Considering the rapport (20 or 40 stitches) and increasing the bottom size (for growth), I cast on 220 stitches. I started knitting from the bottom. From the beginning of row 4, garter stitch. For the skirt part, I am using a Japanese pattern, which is better knitted in the round, so I am using long double-pointed needles (I couldn't find circular needles of the required size and cable length in our city): I repeated rows 1 to 24 four times, and rows 1 to 20 once, slightly narrowing the upper part by not executing the yarn overs highlighted below in blue on the diagram. In total, the skirt part turned out to be 28 cm high and 153 stitches at the top.

I knitted in the round for 10 rows (2 cm), then divided into the front (78 stitches) and back (75 stitches) parts and knitted separately. For the armholes, I decreased sequentially from each side 2-2-1-1-1-1-1-1 stitches (in total, the front decreased by 20 stitches and became 21 cm wide, 58 stitches). Then, I knitted without decreases for 42 rows (10 cm). For the neckline, I closed the central 14 stitches and then decreased from each side 2-1-1-1-0-1-0-1-0-1, leaving 14 stitches on the shoulders. I knitted straight for 7 rows and closed the stitches. The height of the bodice turned out to be about 61 rows, 14 cm.

.
Back bodice For the armholes, decrease from each side 2-1-1-1-1-1-1-0-1 stitches, leaving 58 stitches. Knit straight for 52 rows (12 cm). For the neckline, close the central 24 stitches, then decrease from each side 3 times by 1 stitch in each row. 14 stitches remain. Knit straight for 7 rows and close the stitches. At this stage, I did a blocking (this photo best conveyed the beauty of the pattern))) I made the right shoulder seam, the left shoulder seam was not sewn, I processed it together with the neckline using a crab stitch, while simultaneously forming two loops with chain stitches using a crochet hook. I sewed buttons onto the back half of the shoulder.

Sleeves  I knitted the sleeves based on a paper pattern created from this description. I just took a smaller width for the sleeve, 20 cm. In total, I cast on 56 stitches on the needles. Rows 1-4: garter stitch, rows 5-10 - the pattern used in the bodice. Then, since I knitted in flat rows, it was convenient to make decreases only at the beginning of each row, applying the sleeve to the pattern and closing the stitches that extended beyond this pattern. In total, by rows: row 7: close 6 stitches - 50 stitches remain. Row 8: close 6 stitches - 44 stitches remain. Row 9: close 2 stitches - 42 stitches remain. Row 10: close 2 stitches - 40 stitches remain. Rows 11-13: knit without decreases. Row 14: close 1 stitch - 39 stitches remain. Rows 15-16: knit without decreases. Row 17: close 1 stitch - 38 stitches remain. Row 18: close 1 stitch - 37 stitches remain. Row 19: close 1 stitch - 36 stitches remain. Row 20: close 1 stitch - 35 stitches remain. Row 21: close 1 stitch - 34 stitches remain. Row 22: close 1 stitch - 33 stitches remain. Row 23: close 1 stitch - 32 stitches remain. Rows 24-26: knit without decreases. Row 27: close 1 stitch - 30 stitches remain. Row 28: close 1 stitch - 30 stitches remain. Row 29: close 1 stitch - 29 stitches remain. Row 30: knit without decreases. Row 31: close 2 stitches - 27 stitches remain. Row 32: close 2 stitches - 25 stitches remain. Row 33: close 1 stitch - 24 stitches remain. Row 34: close 2 stitches - 22 stitches remain. Row 35: close 2 stitches - 20 stitches remain. Row 36: close 1 stitch - 19 stitches remain. Row 37: close 1 stitch - 18 stitches remain. Row 38: close 3 stitches - 15 stitches remain. Row 39: close 3 stitches - 12 stitches remain. Row 40: close 2 stitches - 10 stitches remain. Row 41: close 3 stitches - 7 stitches remain. Close the remaining stitches.
