About 150 grams of yarn were used for the tunic. The length is 130 m in 50 g. Needles #3. I started working with the front panels. For the front panel, I cast on 56 stitches. I distributed them as follows: 1 edge stitch, 6 cable stitches, 11 stitches in garter stitch, 20 knit stitches, 10 stitches in garter stitch, 6 cable stitches, 1 garter stitch, edge stitch. Knit to the desired height. I knitted 20 rows. In the next row, knit the central 20 stitches together two at a time. You will have 10 stitches left, from which you will knit a cable of 5x5. Starting from row 43, I began to decrease from the edge after the cable by knitting 2 stitches together. From row 51, knit 10 stitches (adding one more stitch) together two at a time, resulting in a cable of 3x3, like on the sides. Decrease the garter stitch stitches so that it looks like: edge, cable 3x3, one garter stitch, cable 3x3, one garter stitch, cable 3x3, edge. And knit to the desired height. And in a mirrored image, knit the other front panel. Pay attention to the edge of the product. It is somewhat unusual and beautiful. Don't forget to make buttonholes on one of the front panels. I really liked how the button closures are knitted in this model. I saw such an interesting way of knitting them for the first time. The video clearly shows how to knit them.
