A sundress for a girl with lace stripes 

The sundress is knitted  from the bottom up.  Cast on 104 stitches +2 edge stitches. This is the front, and the back is exactly the same. There will be 5 knit stitches on the edges, which we will always knit as knit (garter stitch), after the knit stitches we knit 10 purl stitches (this section will be knitted in stockinette stitch), we will have 7 such sections. Between the sections there will be 6 lace stripes (I will provide the description below). We knit between the outer knit stitches alternating stockinette stitch and lace stripe.  Decreases are made on the stockinette stitch, guided by the lace stripe: we knit 4 repeats of the stripe and where the yarn overs are in the row, we make 2 p. instead of purl on both sides. We make these decreases 4 times in each section of stockinette stitch in every 4th repeat of the lace stripe. After the decreases on the stockinette stitch, there should be 2 purl stitches left, we knit 7 repeats without changes. Next, we knit knit stitches for 14-16 rows. We leave 7 stitches for the straps, and close the middle stitches, knit to the desired length and tie ribbons, decorating with bows, leaves, etc. The back is knitted exactly the same. The sides can be sewn together. Description of the lace pattern: The pattern repeat is 4 stitches. Row 1.  - 4 knit. Row 2 and all even rows - according to the pattern, yarn overs are knitted purl. Row 3 - 1 yarn over, 2 knit together through the back loop. 2 knit together through the front loop, 1 yarn over. Row 5 - repeat from row 1.
