Swans' wings - sundress - dress with needleshttp://klubok.work/1/100/4324/Klubok

Yarn Cable5 (Italy) 100% cotton 50g/200m, used 12 skeins.

I have a skirt made with 11 repeats, the explanations for the patterns show the number of stitches for 9 repeats.

I knitted the top of the dress based on a Japanese blouse.

Pattern 1

The rows highlighted in color require shifting the markers if you use them.

The markers are shifted in rows 6-8, so that you can knit the combination "from three stitches to seven". Row 6 - knit to the last stitch, slip the last stitch onto the right needle, remove the marker, return the stitch to the left needle and place the marker on the right needle. This stitch that we moved back and forth will be part of the trio of stitches in row 7 (along with the first two stitches of row 7) from which we need to knit 7 stitches.
Row 7 - knit as indicated.

Row 8 - knit to the end of the row, remove the marker, knit the next 3 stitches (from the group of seven stitches we knitted from the trio) and place the marker again. From this point, we start a new row (the 9th, respectively)
Next - row 13 - double decrease leaning to the left, then - according to the pattern, always knitting 3 together, knit to the last stitch, slip the stitch onto the right needle, remove the marker, pass the slipped stitch over the first stitch of the left needle - and now we have restored justice and the very first stitch of row 13 has turned into "3 together" - now we need to place the marker before this newly completed combination of 3 together.

Now row 27 - the same as in row 13.

Regarding the transition from pattern 1 to pattern 2 - pattern 1 ends with row 28 (144 stitches), row 29 - knit knit, yarn over - and so on to the end - 288 stitches, row 31 - 34 knits, 2 together knit - and repeat this until the end (280 stitches) Rows 30 and 32 - all knits.

Pattern 2

In rows 7, 43, and 49 do the same as in row 13 of pattern 1 - that is, start with 2 together and end with passing the stitch, forming the combination "3 together".
Important - do not do this in row 45 - initially there are indeed 3 together (as in the pattern).

A small error crept into the second pattern - row 45 starts with an arrow (i.e., a double decrease leaning to the left) - the first two squares should be grey (i.e., "no stitch")

Special note for row 25 - slip the first stitch of the row onto the right needle, move the marker after it on the right needle, start knitting the row with a knit stitch, knit to the end - and there this slipped stitch is used to knit the last 2 together knit in the row.

After completing pattern 2, row 55 follows - knit, yarn over - repeat to the end of the row (560 stitches), rows 56-60 - knits, row 61 - knit the last 10 stitches, move them to the right needle, remove the marker, return the 10 slipped stitches to the left needle and place the marker.

In pattern 2, from rows 47 to 51 there are errors in the pattern.
Row 44 should have one more knit stitch, the very first in this row, before "two from one stitch", otherwise the number of stitches will not match, neither with row 43 nor with 45.

In row 43 there are 22 stitches in one repeat,
in row 44 the pattern currently has 21 squares.. 2 additional stitches - a total of 23 stitches..
In row 45, the pattern is knitted from 24 stitches.. that is, after row 44, there is one stitch missing in the repeat.

P.S. and there are errors in 47 and 49

Row 47. missing 1 knit stitch at the beginning of the repeat
Row 48 according to the pattern
Row 49. *three together, yarn over * (5 times), 1 knit, yarn over, two together leaning to the left, 3 knits, two together leaning to the right, yarn over, knit, yarn over.

Pattern 3

Pattern 3 starts from row 21 because there are 20 rows before row 21 that are knitted as rows 21-24, repeated 5 times if simply - start knitting row 21, count it as the first, then row 22 - this will be our second row, row 23 - this will be our third, row 24 - the fourth. Now repeat these 4 rows 5 more times - a total of 6 repeats, which brings us to 24 rows - and we can legitimately move on to row 25 of pattern 3.

Again, the highlighted rows are knitted according to the same principle as row 13 of the first pattern, and the stitches highlighted in yellow are knitted twisted.

Border

After completing pattern 3, leave everything on circular needles and start working on the border. The border is knitted in the transverse direction and is gradually joined to the main fabric like this - in each knit row of the border, the last stitch - two together - is knitted together with the last stitch of the border and the next stitch of the main fabric from the circular needle. Gradually, you will move along the edge of the shawl counterclockwise. Each stitch of the shawl corresponds to two rows of the border - one knit and one purl. 20 rows of the border are connected in this way to 10 stitches of the shawl. So, this border repeat will have to be repeated 56 times (if 9 repeats)

Border: cast on 16 stitches, using a temporary cast on with a helper thread - you can see it here - (hidden text) You can knit with the same circular needles or separately, on a pair of straight needles, whichever is more convenient. When casting on, we move away from the main fabric, and then with the working thread in the opposite direction - to the main fabric - we knit the first row of the border.
