MITTENS WITH NEEDLES

Cast on 52 stitches and knit in the round for 40 rows in 2x2 ribbing. In the last row of the ribbing, increase by 2 stitches. 

Then knit according to the pattern 

The thumb starts in the 10th row, 

on the sides of the 2 middle stitches of the small braid, we increase - 

- in every second row 3 times 

- in every third row 3 times 

- in every second row 3-4 times. 

When there are 18-20 stitches on the needle for the thumb, set it aside on pins (the thumb stitches start and end with the increase stitches), cast on the missing 2 stitches above it and continue knitting according to the pattern. 

Then finish the thumb separately, casting on 2 stitches. Knit to the height needed, but minus 1 cm. Then knit two rows: 

- in the first, knit alternately 1 knit and 2 together knit. 

- in the second, knit 2 together knit to the end of the row. 

Then pull the remaining stitches together with the yarn.
