I really love crocheting, especially flowers. But once my parents gave me magnificent half-wool bamboo yarn, and seeing it, I realized that I needed to crochet a shawl for my shoulders from it. The decoration for this shawl was also roses, but knitted with needles. The shawl turned out wonderful! It was perfect for cool summer evenings and decorated my outfits! I think such a shawl (or a similar one) should be in every woman's wardrobe.
Let me briefly tell you how I knitted it. First, I knitted the scallops with needles (the border). I didn't have a description of how to do this; I used pictures from a Chinese website.
You need to cast on 1 stitch onto the needle, then cast on 10 stitches onto the needle and hook together, release the stitches from the needle, and knit them together with the hook loosely, without tightening. Put the resulting stitches onto the needle, and cast on 1 stitch onto the needle between the arches. Each crest should have 4 stitches. There should be 36 crests of 4 stitches, so you should have 144 stitches. (But you can cast on more – each according to their size). It is recommended to have 42 arches for medium size and 50 arches for large size.
Then, using circular needles, knit in the round.
Knit 18 rows of stockinette stitch. Then
18 rows of purl stitch.
Repeat the last 36 rows 2 more times.
Cast off loosely; if you cast off too tightly, you won’t be able to move freely.
The most interesting part is the roses. Beautiful, full, simply delightful! Take a look at the master class!
This shawl is so cute, and it feels so nice on cool summer evenings.
