Universal poncho cape

This super stylish item, a hooded poncho, can be knitted in just 2.5 hours and will become the highlight of your wardrobe!

Patterns — stockinette stitch and "cables". The knitting chart indicates the odd rows. The even rows should be knitted as the pattern dictates (knit stitches as knit, purl stitches as purl). For the hood, you need to alternate 5 rows of knit and 5 rows of purl.
An empty cell means no stitch.

Knitting the poncho starts from the bottom of the front side, towards the hood. After the neckline, the knitting moves to the back. Divide the work into 2 parts and knit the front and back separately up to the shoulder level, then knit the back neckline. Place the left and right parts on one needle and knit the back from one ball of yarn.
 
To knit the front side, you need to cast on 44 stitches. Every 6 rows, increase by 1 stitch on both sides of the "cables" pattern. After the 39th row, start knitting the "ribbing" at the edges of the poncho, and at the 65th row, begin to knit the neckline.
The back is knitted from the top down with decreases of 1 stitch on both sides of the "cables" pattern every 6 rows.
To knit the hood, you need to cast on 45 stitches. Next, you need to alternate knit and purl stitches (5 stitches each) twice. Knit the middle part of the fabric just like the heel of a sock. Knit 14 stitches, connecting all parts of the hood together and decreasing by 2 stitches every 6 rows. Sew the hood to the poncho and make 2 chains of 1 meter each. Finally, lace the chains along the sides of the poncho.
