-
Cast-on: cast on from the long end of the yarn, provisional cast on
-
Increases: left/right knit or purl (PNRP, PNRL)
-
Decreases: ssk, k2tog, (3K knit together)
• Increase from the stitch of the lower row to the right (PNRP)
− (1) Insert the right needle into the stitch below the one to be worked. Knit the stitch.
− (2) Knit the next stitch on the left needle (over the just knitted stitch)
• Increase from the stitch of the lower row to the left (PNRL): similar to PNRP, but steps (1) and (2) in reverse order
-
Increases
• Slip-slip-knit (ssk) – decrease of one knit stitch to the left
• 3 stitches knit together
-
German short rows
— (1) Work to the turning point with knit/purl stitches and turn the work to the other side;
— (2) Slip the last worked stitch as purl with the yarn in front of the work;
— (3) Bring the working yarn behind the work over the right needle and pull tight. This will create a double stitch on the right needle;
− (4-5) In the next row, knit the double stitch as one stitch (RS-knit, WS-purl).
