Master class on knitting a shawl-fishyu.http://klubok.work/1/201/6479/Klubok

The master class is designed for knitters who have already knitted several shawls and have an understanding of how to weave in yarn ends and block a shawl.
So, let's get started!
The shawl is presented in two versions: full (blue shawl) and shortened (caramel-colored shawl)

Materials used for the blue shawl
• Yarn 100% merino (600 m/100g) - about 150 grams
• Needles No. 3 for the body of the shawl. And No. 3.25 for lace
• Hook No. 3.5 for closing stitches
• Markers (optional - for highlighting repeats)
Dimensions of the blue shawl - along the inner edge - 200 cm, height at the center - 50 cm (with corners of the border)

Materials used for the shortened version of the caramel-colored shawl
• Yarn 100% merino Lana Gatto Harmony (700 meters in 100 grams) - about 110 grams (770 meters)
• Needles No. 3 for the body of the shawl and No. 3.25 for lace
• Hook No. 3.5 for closing stitches
• Markers (optional - for highlighting repeats)
Dimensions of the camel-colored shawl – along the inner edge - 176 cm, height at the center - 48 cm

The shawl is knitted from the neck downwards. The shape is crescent-shaped.
Be careful!
In diagrams where only right-side rows are indicated - knit wrong-side rows according to the pattern.
In diagrams where both right-side and wrong-side rows are indicated, there are yarn overs and two stitches knitted together on both the right and wrong sides.
Necessary skills - knit stitches, purl stitches, yarn overs, two together leaning left and right, three together leaning left and right, three together with the central stitch on top, the ability to create 2 stitches from 1, crocheting chain stitches, double crochets, picots.

Description of the process
Knit the body of the shawl.
Cast on 9 stitches.
Row 1 – 1 knit, yarn over, 7 knits, yarn over, 1 knit.
Row 2 (wrong side) – 2 knits, yarn over, 7 purls, yarn over, 2 knits. (Attention! The yarn overs from the previous row are knitted with a twisted stitch to avoid large holes along the edges)
Row 3 (right side) – 2 edge stitches knitted, from the yarn over knit 3 stitches, 7 knits, from the yarn over knit 3 stitches, 2 edge stitches knitted.
(Attention! From one stitch I knit 3 like this - from the twisted stitch I knit - knit stitch, yarn over, knit stitch)
Row 4 (wrong side) – 2 edge stitches knitted, yarn over, all purls to the edges, yarn over, two edge stitches knitted.
Repeat rows 3 and 4 alternating until there are 259 stitches (without edge stitches) in the wrong-side row.
That is, the wrong-side row will look like this - 2 edge stitches, yarn over, 259 purls, yarn over, 2 edge stitches.
The repeat of the pattern consists of 20 stitches. Thus, in our shawl, there are 13 repeats. (The last repeat is 19 stitches for symmetry). If you want to decrease or increase the shawl - increase or decrease the number of repeats.
The next right-side row is knitted according to diagram 1.

Don't forget! At the beginning of each right-side row, after the 2 edge stitches, knit 3 stitches from the yarn over of the previous row (knit stitch, yarn over, knit stitch). At the end of the right-side row after the pattern of the diagram - from 1 stitch - 3, two edge stitches.

And in the wrong-side rows at the beginning of the row - after 2 edge stitches - yarn over, at the end of the row - before the 2 edge stitches - yarn over.
Make these increases until the border. After that, follow the comments for the border diagram.

The first row of lace is knitted according to the diagram as follows:
Knit 2 edge stitches, from the 1st - 3 knits, repeat the pattern 12 times according to the diagram, the 13th repeat is knitted
without the last (wrong-side) stitch. That is, after two together leaning left - from the 1st - 3, 2 edge stitches.
Knit the wrong-side rows according to the pattern, unless otherwise stated in the comments to the diagrams.

For the shortened version of the shawl - knit the body, diagrams 1, 2, 3, 4 and the border for the shortened version (diagram 7).
For the full version of the shawl - knit the body, diagrams 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and the border for the full version (diagram 6)

When closing stitches for the border - knit the first two and the last two stitches (edge stitches) as one stitch and from
it already knit a picot. Detailed description of closing stitches is on the sheet with the border diagram.

After closing the border stitches secure the thread, weave in the ends. Soak the shawl in warm water with wool wash for 15-20 minutes. Gently wash. Do not rub! Rinse in warm water with added conditioner. Squeeze, do not wring! Wrap in a clean towel and squeeze again to let the towel absorb excess moisture. Lay the shawl on a clean fabric on a horizontal surface. Block using pins, shaping the shawl and stretching the tips. Leave until completely dry.

Remove from blocking.
Wear with pleasure!
