IMITATION OF A SEWN NECKLINE

Knit the neckline to the desired height, then proceed to simulate a sewn neckline. Row 1: knit all stitches in knit stitches.
Row 2: 1 knit, 1 purl from the yarn over, repeat to the end of the row.
Row 3: slip 1 stitch as a knit, yarn at back, 1 purl, repeat to the end of the row.
Row 4: 1 knit, slip 1 stitch as purl, yarn in front, repeat to the end of the row.
Row 5: slip 1 stitch as a knit, yarn at back, 1 purl, repeat to the end of the row.
Row 6: 1 purl, slip 1 stitch as purl, yarn in front, repeat to the end of the row.
Row 7: knit all stitches two together with a left slant.
