NECK OF FRONT AND BACK. HOW TO CALCULATE LOOPSKlubokhttp://klubok.work/1/203/7591/Klubokhttps://klubok.work/css/image/top-logo-en.pngFront Neckline Cut
1. First, we need to calculate the number of rows vertically, thus determining the depth of the neckline cut.
Use a ruler to measure the depth of the cut on a finished pattern or on a garment of suitable size and style, and count how many rows will be in this measurement.
It’s best to knit a sample with the same pattern as the item so that it is easy to count the number of rows and stitches for decreasing.

2. Now let's calculate the number of stitches horizontally (width of the neckline) using the sample.
In my case, it turns out
number of stitches - 44 stitches
number of rows - 30

3. Next, we perform calculations for half of the stitches
44:2=22 stitches
4. Divide 22 stitches into 4 parts, resulting in 4 blocks. If you get an uneven number, you need to add one stitch to the part of stitches that is closer to the center of the front.
So, 22 stitches : 4 = 6 + 6 + 5 + 5
5. Close the stitches of the first part in one go.
6. Close the stitches of the second part in 2 goes.
6 stitches : 2 = 3 stitches + 3 stitches
If the number does not divide evenly, then the larger number of stitches should be closer to the center of the cut.
7. Close the stitches in the third part in 3 goes.
5 stitches : 3 = 2 stitches + 2 stitches + 1 stitch
8. Close the stitches in the fourth part one stitch every 2 rows.
In our case
Close one stitch in every 2nd row 5 times.

22 stitches are divided into 4 parts, resulting in 4 blocks. If you get an uneven number, you need to add one stitch to the part of stitches that is closer to the center of the back.
22 stitches : 4 = 6 + 6 + 5 + 5
Close the stitches in every 2nd row.
