Thickened side edge with knitting needles

Thickened side edge with knitting needleshttp://klubok.work/1/203/8590/Klubok

Used when knitting items in rows, for example, scarves, blankets, shawls.

It is very easy to knit, and looks great

Consists of 2 edge stitches on each side, i.e. when calculating stitches, add 4 edge stitches to the required amount.

At the beginning of each row - whether it is a knit or purl row - we slip the first edge stitch, and knit the second one. At the end of the row, we slip the second to last edge stitch without knitting, leaving the working yarn in front of the work, and knit the last edge stitch as usual - with a traditional purl stitch.

I recommend knitting these edge stitches tighter, so that the edge forms more firmly.
