You will need: 450 (550) 650 g of yarn (100% cotton, 90
m/50 g); straight and circular needles No. 7.
Ribbing: an odd number of stitches. Right
side rows: selvedge, 1 purl, * 1 knit, 1 purl, repeat from * to selvedge. Wrong side rows: knit
stitches according to pattern.
Lace pattern: the number of stitches is a multiple of 14 + 1 + 2 selvedge. Knit according to the chart,
which shows only right side rows; on wrong side rows, knit all stitches according to pattern,
purl the yarn overs, when there are 2 consecutive yarn overs, purl the 1st yarn over and knit the 2nd yarn over twisted. Start with 1 selvedge and stitches before the repeat, repeat the repeat,
ending with stitches after the repeat and 1 selvedge. Repeat from the 1st to the 28th
row.
Gauge, ribbing (measured in non-stretched state) and lace pattern: 20 sts and 24 rows = 10x10 cm.
Back: cast on 87 (101) 115 sts using the crosswise method
and knit 6 cm = 14 rows of ribbing. Then knit in lace pattern. In the 112th (132nd) 140th row from the ribbing = 28th (20th) 28th row of the pattern, bind off all stitches purlwise, with the middle 39
sts forming the neckline, and the outer 24 (31) 38 sts on each side forming the shoulders.
Back height: 46.5 cm =
112 rows (55 cm = 132 rows) 58 cm = 140 rows from
the ribbing.
Front: knit the same way, but with a neckline. For this, after 31.5
cm = 76 rows (43.5 cm = 104 rows) 46.5 cm = 112 rows from the ribbing, bind off the middle 27 sts
and finish both sides separately. For rounding, bind off 6 x 1 st at the inner edge every 2nd row. At the height of the back, bind off the remaining 24 (31) 38 sts of the shoulder on
each side.
Sleeves: cast on 73 (87) 101 sts using the crosswise method and
knit 3.5 cm = 8 rows of ribbing. Then knit in lace pattern. After 19 cm = 46 rows
(22.5 cm = 54 rows) 22.5 cm = 54 rows from the ribbing, bind off all stitches.
Assembly: sew the shoulder seams. Around the neckline, cast on
128 sts on circular needles and knit a ribbing band, repeating only
the repeat from V. At the height of the band, 2.5 cm = 6 rounds, bind off all stitches according to
the pattern. Attach the sleeves to the upper 18.5 (22.5) 25.5 cm of the front and back, aligning
the middle of the sleeve with the shoulder seam. Sew the side seams and the sleeve seams.
