Chest circumference of the finished item: 81 (86-91-97-102-107) cm.
You will need: 425 (425-450-475-500-525) g of yarn type “RYC Cashmere Tweed” (90% cashmere, 10% silk, 55m/25g) (A) or 450-450-450-500-500-550 g of yarn type “RYC Wool Tweed” (90% merino wool, 10% viscose, 110 m/50 g) (B) from Rowan; needles for yarn A: No. 5, No. 6, circular needles No. 5; for yarn B: No. 4.5, No. 5, circular needles No. 4.5; auxiliary needles, 7 cm high buckle; 90 (95-100-105-110-115) cm of 5 cm wide grosgrain ribbon.
Knit density: 18 sts and 24 rows of stocking stitch = 10 x 10 cm (on larger needles).
C6B = slip the next 3 sts onto an auxiliary needle and place behind the work, knit 3 sts, then knit 3 sts from the auxiliary needle,
C6F = slip the next 3 sts onto an auxiliary needle and place in front of the work, knit 3 sts, then knit 3 sts from the auxiliary needle.

Row 4 (WS): 16 (18-20-23-25-28) sts of rib, (knit 1 st, 1 st of rib) 3 times, (1 st of rib, knit 1 st) 3 times, 34 sts of rib, (knit 1 st, 1 st of rib) 3 times, (1 st of rib, knit 1 st) 3 times, knit rib to end of row = 90 (94-98-104-108-114) sts. Switch to larger needles.

Create the belt loops.
Row 39 (RS): 14 (16-18-21-23-26) sts of rib, slip the next 16 sts onto a pin and, at this point, turn the work and cast on 10 sts, turn, 30 sts of rib, slip the next 16 sts onto a second pin and, at this point, turn and cast on 10 sts, turn, knit rib to end of row = 78 (82-86-92-96-102) sts. Knit rib (as established in rows 1 and 2) for 14 rows, ending with a knit row.
Row 54 (WS): 14 (16-18-21-23-26) sts of rib, bind off the next 10 sts, knit rib until there are 30 sts on the right needle after the bound off sts, bind off the next 10 sts, knit rib to end. Cut and secure the yarn and leave the sts on an auxiliary needle. On the right side of the work attach the yarn to one of the 16 sts left on the pin, knit them following the pattern. Row 55 (RS): knit rib on the first 14 (16-18-21-23-26) sts of the main part on the third auxiliary needle, knit “cable” on the next 16 sts of the first loop, knit rib on the next 30 sts of the main part on the third auxiliary needle, knit “cable” on the next 16 sts of the second loop, knit rib on the remaining 14 (16-18-21-23-26) sts of the main part = 90 (94-98-104-108-114) sts.
Row 56: knit following the pattern on
16 (18-20-23-25-28) sts, (2 sts together purl) 6 times, knit following the pattern on 34 sts, (2 sts together purl) 6 times, knit following the pattern to end of the row = 78 (82-86-92-96-102) sts. Starting with a knit st, knit in stocking stitch to the height of the back 38 (38-37-40-39-41) cm, ending with a purl row. Bind off for armholes 4
(5-5-6-6-7) sts at the beginning of the next 2 rows = 70 (72-76-80-84-88) sts.** Decrease 1 st from both sides over the next 3
(3-5-5-5-5) rows, then in every 2nd row 2 (2-1-2-2-3) times, then in the next 4th
row = 58 (60-62-64-68-70) sts. Continue knitting straight to the height of the armholes 20
(20-21-21-22-22) cm, ending with a purl row. Bind off for shoulder slopes 4
(4-5-5-5-6) sts at the beginning of the next 2 rows = 50 (52-52-54-58-58) sts. Next row (RS):
bind off 4 (4-5-5-5-6) sts, knit until there are 8
(9-8-9-10-9) sts on the right needle and turn the work, setting aside the remaining sts on the auxiliary needle.
Knit each side of the neckline separately. Bind off 4 sts at the beginning of the next row. Bind off the remaining 4 (5-4-5-6-5) sts. On the right side of the work attach the yarn to the set-aside sts, bind off the central 26 (26-26-26-28-28)
sts for the neckline, knit until the end. Finish this side symmetrically to the first.

Continue knitting straight to the same height as the beginning of the shoulder slopes on the back, ending with a purl row. Bind off 4 (4-5-5-5-6) sts at the beginning of the next row and after 2 rows. Knit 1 row. Bind off the remaining 4 (5-4-5-6-5) sts. On the right side of the work attach the yarn to the set-aside sts, bind off the central 12 (12-12-10-12-12) sts for the neckline, knit to the last 2 sts, 2 sts together knit. Finish this side symmetrically to the first.
Sleeves: Cast on 42 (42-42-42-46-46) sts with smaller needles.
Row 1 (RS): 2 knit, * 2 purl, 2 knit, repeat from *.
Row 2: 2 purl, * 2 knit, 2 purl, repeat from *. These 2 rows form the rib pattern. Knit rib for 20 rows, adding 0 (0-1-1-0-0) sts from both sides in the last row = 42 (42-44-44-46-46) sts. Switch to larger needles. Starting with a knit row and knit, knit in stocking stitch, to widen add 1 st from both sides in the 7th (7-7-7-7-7-7-5-5) and each subsequent 8th (8-8-8-8-8-8-6-6) row, until there are 46 (56-54-64-64-52) sts on the needles, then in every subsequent 10th (10-10-10-10-10-10-8-8) row until 58 (60-62-64-66-68) sts. Continue knitting straight to the height of the sleeve 45 (45-46-46-47-47) cm, ending with a purl row.
For the sleeve cap bind off 4 (5-5-6-6-7) sts at the beginning of the next 2 rows = 50 (50-52-52-54-54) sts. Decrease 1 st at the end of the next 3 rows, then 3 times in every 2nd row, then in every 4th row, until 30 (30-32-32-34-34) sts remain. Knit 1 purl row. Decrease 1 st from both sides in the next and each 2nd row until 24 sts, then in the next 3 rows, ending with a purl row. Bind off the remaining 18 sts.
Assembly and finishing of the pullover:
Lay out the pieces according to the pattern, pin, cover with a damp cloth and leave to
dry. Join the shoulder seams (with a mattress stitch or through the back loops of the sts).
Neckline band: on the right side on circular needles, starting and
ending at the left shoulder seam, pick up and knit 46 (46-46-47-47-49) sts
down the left side of the neckline, 12 (12-12-10-12-12) sts along the front neckline, 46
(46-46-47-47-49) sts up the right side, then 28 (28-28-28-30-30) sts along the back neckline = 132 (132-132-132-136-140) sts. 1 round (WS): * 2 knit, 2 purl,
repeat from *. Repeat the last round 7 more times. Bind off sts following the pattern.
Belt: Cast on 16 sts with No. 5 needles.
Row 1 (RS): 16 knit.
Row 2: 2 knit, 12 purl, 2 knit.
Row 3: 2 knit, C6B, C6F, 2 knit.
Row 4: as row 2.
Rows 5-8: as rows 1 and 2, twice. These 8 rows form the pattern. Continue knitting in this manner until the length of the belt is 86 (91-96-101-106-111) cm. In the next knit row bind off the sts.
Set the sleeves into the armholes. Sew the side seams and sleeve seams. From the wrong side of the belt at the center sew the grosgrain ribbon, folding its edges inwards at the ends of the belt. Thread one end of the belt through the buckle and sew it. Thread the belt through the loops.
