YOU WILL NEED
Yarn (97% cotton, 3% metallic polyester; approx. 85 m/50 g) — 250 (300) g white, 150 (200) g bright pink, 100 (150) g light green; needles No. 4.5 and 5.5; short circular needles No. 4.5.
PATTERNS AND SCHEMES
RIBBING
Alternately 2 knit, 2 purl.
LACE PATTERN
Knit according to the knitting chart. The knit rows are given. In the purl rows, knit the stitches according to the pattern, purl the yarn overs. Repeat rows 1–16 continuously.
COLOR SEQUENCE
8 rows each of *light green, white, bright pink, and white yarn, repeat from *.
Change the color wherever the pattern block on the chart is shifted.
KNITTING DENSITY
16 sts x 23 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
ATTENTION!
The model is knitted in one piece.
PATTERN
WORKING PROCESS
BACK
On needles No. 4.5, cast on 73 (87) stitches with white yarn and knit 8 cm in ribbing.
Then switch to needles No. 5.5 and knit in lace pattern, alternating colors according to the specified sequence.
Distribute the stitches as follows: selvage, repeat the rapport 5 (6) times, finish with a stitch after the rapport, selvage.
After 32.5 (29) cm from the starting row for the added sleeves, increase 1 stitch on both sides, then in every 2nd row make another 11 increases of 1 stitch, and after that additionally cast on 1 x 51 (44) stitches = 199 stitches.
Continue knitting straight.
After 50 cm from the ribbing (= 116 rows in lace pattern), bind off the middle 41 stitches for the back neckline = 14.5 stripes knitted.
Knit the last 4 rows with bright pink yarn.
Half of the pullover is knitted, finish the back.
FRONT
After the 41 stitches are bound off for the back neckline, knit both sides (= on 79 stitches) separately and for the front neckline in every 2nd row increase 10 x 1 stitch along the inner edge.
After this, additionally cast on 21 stitches in the middle with white yarn and include them in the work.
Then knit straight on all 199 stitches for 6.5 (10) cm, then begin decreases for the sleeves on both sides as follows: bind off 1 x 51 (44) stitches and in every 2nd row bind off another 12 x 1 stitch on both sides = 73 (87) stitches. Then knit straight for 24.5 (21) cm.
Then with white yarn on needles No. 4.5 knit 8 cm in ribbing and bind off the stitches.
ASSEMBLY
Gently dampen the pieces, stretch according to the pattern, and leave to dry completely.
For the neckline band on needles No. 4.5, cast on 38 stitches along the neckline edge of the back, 10 stitches on the front slopes, and 22 stitches along the straight edge of the front neckline = 80 stitches.
Mark the first and second stitches, 37th and 38th stitches, 49th and 50th stitches, as well as 69th and 70th stitches with contrasting yarn.
Knit in circular rows in ribbing, decreasing 1 stitch on both sides of the marked stitch in every 2nd row (= knit 2 stitches together before the marked stitch, slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 stitch and pull the slipped stitch over it). After 3 cm of ribbing, bind off the stitches according to the pattern.
Along the edge of each sleeve, cast on 46 (62) stitches with white yarn on needles No. 4.5 and knit 3 cm in ribbing, then bind off the stitches according to the pattern.
Sew the side seams and sleeve seams with a mattress stitch, ensuring that the stripes on all pieces match.
