Sizes: S - M - L - XL - XXL - XXXL
Materials: DROPS CARIZMA yarn 500-550-600-700-750-800 grams of gray-purple color No. 64,
circular and double-pointed needles (40 + 60 or 80 cm) No. 4 mm,
circular and double-pointed needles (40 + 60 or 80 cm) No. 3 mm – for the edges in garter stitch.
Knitting gauge - 21 stitches x 28 rows in stockinette stitch = 10 x 10 cm. Garter stitch (when knitting in the round):
1 row = 2 rounds. * 1 row of knit stitches and 1 row – of purl stitches *, repeat from *-*.
Pattern:
See charts A.1 and A.2 (for your size refer to the corresponding chart).
Increase advice-1:
To calculate the frequency of increases, take the total number of stitches in the row (for example, 74 stitches) and divide by the required number of increases (for example, 14) = 5.3. That is, in this example, make increases after every 5th stitch. Increase stitches by making a yarn over, in the next row knit the yarn over twisted.
Increase advice-2 (for the side increases of the front and back):
Knit until there are 2 stitches left before the marker: make 1 yarn over, 4 knit stitches (the marker will be located in the middle of these 4 stitches), make 1 yarn over (= 2 stitches increased). In the next row knit the yarn over as a twisted knit stitch.
Decrease advice (for the side decreases of the front and back and the lower part of the sleeve):
There should be 3 stitches left before the marker – knit 2 stitches together knit, 2 knit stitches (the marker will be located between these 2 knit stitches), slip 1 stitch as a knit stitch, 1 knit stitch, pass the slipped stitch over the knitted one (= 2 stitches decreased).
----------------------------------------------------------
Knitting the sweater:
is done in the round on circular needles from top to bottom. The sleeves are knitted in the round on short circular or double-pointed needles.
Yoke:
Cast on 74-76-80-80-86-86 stitches on short circular needles No. 3 mm. Knit 2 rows of garter stitch – see the description above. Switch to short circular needles No. 4 mm and knit 1 row of knit stitches, evenly increasing 14-23-30-30-35-35 stitches – see the increase advice = 88-99-110-110-121-121 stitches.
For a better fit, knit a "short row" on the back neckline: place 1 marker in the center of the back, knit 11-12-13-13-15-15 knit stitches after the marker, turn the work, pull the yarn and knit 22-24-26-26-30-30 purl stitches back. Turn, pull the yarn and knit 33-36-39-39-45-45 knit stitches, turn, pull the yarn and knit 44-48-52-52-60-60 purl stitches back. Turn, pull the yarn and knit 55-60-65-65-75-75 knit stitches, turn, pull the yarn and knit 66-72-78-78-90-90 purl stitches back. Turn and knit knit stitches to the middle of the back.
The next row is knitted according to the pattern: * pattern A.1 (= 2 stitches), pattern A.2 (= 9 stitches – see the chart for your size) *, repeat from *-* to the end of the row (= a total of 8-9-10-10-11-11 times). Continue knitting according to this pattern and make increases according to pattern A.2. When you have completed a full repeat of pattern A.2, you will have 272-306-340-360-385-407 stitches on your needles. Knit 1 row as established (knit stitches knit, purl stitches purl), evenly increasing 8-6-2-8-7-9 stitches = 280-312-342-368-392-416 stitches (make increases on sections of purl stitches). The length of the knitting here should reach about 20-22-24-26-28-30 cm along the center front line (from the edge of the neckline). The next row is knitted according to the pattern: knit 40-44-48-53-58-63 stitches in stockinette stitch (= ? back), transfer the next 60-68-75-78-80-82 stitches to a stitch holder (= sleeve), cast on 8-8-10-10-12-14 new stitches (= lower part of the sleeve), knit 80-88-96-106-116-126 stitches in stockinette stitch (= front), transfer the next 60-68-75-78-80-82 stitches to a stitch holder (= sleeve), cast on 8-8-10-10-12-14 stitches (= lower part of the sleeve), knit the remaining 40-44-48-53-58-63 stitches in stockinette stitch (= ? back).
Then knit the main part and sleeves separately.
Main part:
= 176-192-212-232-256-280 stitches. Place 1 marker on each side = 88-96-106-116-128-140 stitches between the markers on the front and back – then measure the knitting from this point. Knit in the round in stockinette stitch. When the length of the fabric reaches 3 cm, decrease 1 stitch on each side from the markers – see decrease advice (= 4 stitches decreased). Repeat decreases every 2-2-2-2-3-3 cm a total of 4-4-4-4-3-3 times on each side = 160-176-196-216-244-268 stitches. When the length of the knitting is 15 cm (the total length of the sweater is about 39-41-43-45-47-49 cm from the shoulder line), increase 1 stitch on each side from both markers – see increase advice-2 (= 4 stitches increased). Repeat increases every 3? cm a total of 4-4-4-4-3-3 times on each side = 176-192-212-232-256-280 stitches. When the length of the fabric reaches 30 cm (the length of the sweater is about 54-56-58-60-62-64 cm from the shoulder line), switch to circular needles No. 3 mm. Knit 3 rows of garter stitch (6 rows of knit stitches), switch to needles No. 4 mm and bind off stitches knit. The length of the sweater will be about 56-58-60-62-64-66 cm from the shoulder line.
Sleeves:
are knitted in the round on short circular needles from top to bottom. Transfer 60-68-75-78-80-82 stitches from the stitch holder on one side to short circular needles No. 4 mm and pick up an additional 8-8-10-10-12-14 stitches that were cast on for the lower part of the sleeve = 68-76-85-88-92-96 stitches. Place a marker in the center of these 8-8-10-10-12-14 stitches (= beginning of the round) – then measure the knitting from this point. Knit stockinette stitch in the round. When the length of the knitting reaches 3-3-3-3-2-2 cm, decrease 2 stitches in the lower part of the sleeve – see decrease advice. Repeat decreases every 2?-2-1?-1?-1?-1? cm a total of 14-17-20-21-22-23 times = 40-42-45-46-48-50 stitches. When the length of the sleeve reaches 42-41-39-38-37-36 cm (or another desired length), switch to double-pointed needles No. 3 mm. Knit 3 rows of garter stitch (6 rows of knit stitches). Switch again to double-pointed needles No. 4 mm and bind off stitches knit. The length of the sleeve will be about 44-43-41-40-39-38 cm from the marker. Knit the second sleeve as the first.
