Patterns for knitting the pullover

Pattern 1: garter stitch – knit every row – knit all stitches.

Pattern 2: lace diamonds (number of stitches multiple of 2 + 1 + 2 edge stitches) = knit according to the chart. It shows the right side rows. In the wrong side rows, knit all stitches and yarn overs as purl stitches. Start with 1 edge stitch and the stitches before the repeat, repeat the pattern continuously, finish with 1 edge stitch, while at the end of the row instead of the highlighted gray stitch in the 1st row of the chart, knit 2 stitches together as a knit stitch. Repeat rows 1-36 continuously.

Pattern 3: stockinette stitch – rows in the forward and reverse direction; right side rows – knit stitches, wrong side rows – purl stitches; in circular rows, knit all stitches as knit stitches.

Knitting density: 15 sts x 24.5 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Lace diamond pullover knitting description

Back: cast on 69 (91) stitches and for the ribbing knit 2 cm with pattern 1. Continue working with pattern 2. After 44 cm = 108 rows (51.5 cm = 126 rows) from the ribbing, bind off all stitches, while the middle 33(37) stitches form the neckline, and the outer 18 (27) stitches are the shoulders.

Front: knit as for the back, but after 37.5 cm = 92 rows (54 cm = 110 rows) from the ribbing, bind off the middle 13 (17) stitches for the neckline and bind off each side separately. For rounding at the inner edge, bind off 1 x 3 stitches, 2 x 2 stitches, and 3 x 1 stitch in every 2nd row. At the height of the back, bind off the remaining 18 (27) shoulder stitches.

Sleeves: cast on 47 stitches for each sleeve and for the ribbing knit 4 cm with pattern 2. At the same time, for the sleeve shaping, increase 11 x 1 stitch on both sides in every 4th row from the ribbing (alternately in every 2nd and 4th row 17 x 1 stitch) according to the pattern = 69 (81) stitches.

After 23 cm = 56 rows from the ribbing, bind off all stitches.

Assembly: sew the shoulder seams. Neckline ribbing: cast on 73 (81) stitches along the neckline edge on circular needles and knit with pattern 3. At a width of 4 cm, bind off all stitches as knit stitches. Set in the sleeves, sew the side seams and the sleeve seams.

How to knit:

• The chart is read from right to left in odd (right side) rows, and in even rows – according to the pattern, yarn overs are knitted as purl stitches.

• MS — this is the pattern repeat. It should be repeated across the width.

• Start and end — according to the arrows.
