Japanese pattern

Pattern description:
The pattern starts with 4 setup rows, which are not counted. At the beginning and end of each row, knit the edge stitches.

Cast on 50 stitches + 2 edge stitches.

1st setup row: all stitches knit.

2nd setup row: (2 knit, 1 purl) x9 times, (1 knit, 1 purl) x2 times, (2 knit, 1 purl) x5 times, (1 knit, 1 purl) x2 times

3rd setup row: yarn over, (1 twisted knit, 1 purl) x2 times, 2 twisted knits together leaning to the left, 1 purl, (1 twisted knit, 2 purls) x3 times, 1 twisted knit, 1 purl, 2 twisted knits together leaning to the right, (1 purl, 1 twisted knit) x2 times, yarn over, (2 purls, 1 twisted knit) x8 times, 2 purls.

4th setup row: (2 knit, 1 twisted purl) x8 times, 2 knit, 1 purl, yarn over, (1 twisted purl, 1 knit) x2 times, 2 twisted purls together leaning to the left, (1 twisted purl, 2 knit) x3 times, 1 twisted purl, 2 twisted purls together leaning to the right, (1 knit, 1 twisted purl) x2 times, yarn over, 1 purl.

Next, knit the main pattern (repeat in width and height).

The lace is complex, suitable only for experienced craftswomen, twisted and wrapped stitches.
