Knitted pullover with braidshttp://klubok.work/1/3/8892/Klubok

Notations and Methods

Purl for the back loops;

Increase:
(take 1 stitch as a knit) 2 times, return them to the left needle and knit them together as purl through the back loops;

K1R (Knit increase leaning right):
with the left needle, lift the yarn between 2 stitches from back to front and knit it as knit through the front loop;

K1L (Knit increase leaning left):
with the left needle, lift the yarn between 2 stitches from front to back and knit it as knit through the back loop;

K1P:
increase a purl stitch by lifting the yarn between 2 stitches and knitting it as a twisted purl;

Make a D.P.:
slip the first stitch as purl with the yarn in front. Pull the yarn over the needle to the back so that both walls of the stitch are lifted onto the needle, forming a double stitch. Continue knitting the rest of the row. In the next row, when you knit the double stitch, catch both walls and knit it as a regular stitch.

Twisted Stitches:

  • 2/2 right: slip 2 stitches to a helper needle behind the work, knit 2, then knit 2 from the helper needle.

  • 2/2 left: slip 2 stitches to a helper needle in front of the work, knit 2, then knit 2 from the helper needle.

  • 3/3 right: slip 3 stitches to a helper needle behind the work, knit 3, then knit 3 from the helper needle.

  • 3/3 left: slip 3 stitches to a helper needle in front of the work, knit 3, then knit 3 from the helper needle.

Twisted Stitches

For classic stitches:

  • Twisted Right:
    knit 2 together, leaving the stitches on the left needle, then knit the first stitch and drop these stitches from the left needle.

  • Twisted Left:
    slip 1 stitch knitwise, slip another stitch knitwise, return these stitches to the left needle (just like beginning for the increase). Knit the second stitch through the back wall, then knit through the back walls of both stitches, dropping them from the left needle.

For "grandma's" stitches:

  • Twisted Right:
    turn the next 2 stitches, knit the 2 stitches together knitwise, leaving the stitches on the left needle, then knit the first stitch and drop it.

  • Twisted Left:
    knit through the back wall of the second stitch (insert the needle from behind), then through the back walls of both stitches, dropping them from the left needle.

Cast on with a braid for the ribbing

Make a slipknot, then cast on one stitch using the "long tail" method.
Hold the needle with 2 stitches in your left hand.

Next:
Knit the stitch by inserting the right needle between the first 2 stitches of the left needle and performing the movements as for a knit stitch. Pull the stitch and place it on the left needle, tighten the yarn until the stitch lies freely on the needle.

Knit the next stitch as purl, inserting the right needle between the first 2 stitches of the left needle from behind and performing movements as for a purl stitch. Pull the stitch and place it on the left needle, pull the yarn.

Repeat until the desired number of stitches is reached.

Hollow Bind Off

Preparation:
Measure a tail of yarn at least 3 times the length of the edge to be bound off, cut the yarn, and thread the end into a tapestry needle.

Step 1:
Moving from right to left, insert the needle purlwise into the first stitch (knit) and pull the yarn through.

Back: knitting to the armhole and forming the armhole

Decrease row (WS):
3 knits, 2 together knit, knit as established until the last 5 stitches, wrap, 3 knits.

After decreases on the needles:
112 (124, 134, 146, 156) (168, 178, 190, 200) stitches.

Knit straight until the length of the piece reaches:
28 (28, 28, 28, 28) (29, 30.5, 32, 33, 34.5) cm
from the starting row or desired length to the armhole, finish after a purl row.

Forming the Armhole
