Oversized Sweater with Round YokeKlubokhttp://klubok.work/1/3/8896/Klubokhttps://klubok.work/css/image/top-logo-en.png
Sizes: XS-S-M-L-XL-XXL
Sweater length: 56-58-60-62-64-66 cm (from shoulder)
Sleeve length: 43-44-45-46-47-48 cm
Circumference: 89-98-107-116-124-133 cm
Tip: If you prefer oversized, choose a size larger than your usual size. Due to the design, the length of the body and sleeves can be easily adjusted to your preferences.
Gauge: 18 sts = 10 cm (textured pattern)
Be sure to knit a swatch to find the right needle size.
Needles:
-
circular needles 4 and 5 mm
-
circular needles 40 and 80 cm long, sizes 4 and 5 mm
Additionally:
-
stitch markers,
-
stitch holders or scrap yarn,
-
tapestry needle.
Yarn:
-
100% extra fine merino; 50 g = 125 m
-
53% mohair, 34% silk, 13% nylon; 225 g = 287 m
For work, hold both strands together.
Neckline
Using smaller short circular needles with 2 strands, cast on 84-86-88-90-92-94 sts. Join in the round, marking the st. n. (center back).
Knit in ribbing (1 knit, 1 purl) for 6 cm or to the desired height.
Then continue knitting ribbing with short rows for a comfortable fit.
Knit ribbing 36-37-38-38-39-40 sts, turn,
knit 72-74-76-76-78-80 sts, turn. Continue turning, each time turning 4 sts earlier than the previous turn, until you have turned 5 times on each side (10 times in total).
Thus, the back neckline will be 3–4 cm higher than the front.
Yoke
Switch to 5 mm needles and knit a full round in knit stitches, knitting double stitches.
At the same time, place a marker in the center of the round after 42-43-44-45-46-47 sts.
The beginning of the round is still at the center back.
Continue knitting according to the pattern and add stitches as indicated. Add by picking up the yarn between two stitches, twisting it, and knitting it through the front. Add as evenly as possible in the round and make sure the number of stitches on each side (i.e., between the two stitch markers) of the round is the same.
Once you finish adding stitches, continue knitting without any increases. Rows 1 to 47 are repeated, but for some sizes, there are more rows in the pattern than 47. Knit to a yoke height of about
18-19-20-21-22-23 cm (excluding the neckline).
It doesn't matter where in the pattern you finish the yoke, as you will continue this same pattern after separating the sleeves. Be sure to try on the yoke before separating to check if the length is suitable. Note that in the next step, you will be casting on stitches for the underarms, adding 8 sts on each side, which will lengthen the yoke by 2–3 cm. If desired, you can knit the yoke shorter.
Make sure to count the stitches in the raglan line and at the center back and position them in the middle of the front and back accordingly.
Divide the work for the sleeves and body:
-
Front and back: 70-78-86-94-102-110 sts each.
-
Sleeves: 48-54-60-64-70-76 sts on hold or scrap yarn.
First knit the sleeves, then finish the body.
For the rest of the sweater, repeat rows 1–47 of the textured pattern, continuing from where you stopped at the yoke. From this point, do not add any more stitches.
Sleeves
Cast on 10 sts for the underarm. The beginning of the round is in the middle of the cast-on stitches of the underarm. Place a marker here.
Start knitting in the round, ensuring the pattern remains intact, and include the newly cast-on underarm stitches in the pattern (5 pattern repeats earlier than before the sleeve separation). This will keep the sleeve symmetrical.
Decrease 1 st from each side of the "seam" of the sleeve every 4-3.5-3.5-2.5-2.5-2.5 cm, until you have:
42-44-46-48-52-54 sts on the needles.
Continue knitting according to the pattern until the sleeve reaches 38-39-40-41-42-43 cm from the underarm or to the desired length.
Switch to short circular needles or DPNs 4 cm and knit ribbing (1 knit, 1 purl), evenly decreasing 6-6-6-6-8-8 sts in the first round.
Knit straight to the desired length:
43-44-45-46-47-48 cm.
Bind off stitches according to the pattern or using an elastic method.
Complete the second sleeve.
Body
Pick up knit stitches from the cast-on 10 sts of each underarm. The beginning of the round is at the center back.
Tip: you can pick up 1 more st from each side of the underarm and decrease them in the next round. This will avoid holes in the underarm.
Continue knitting the pattern in the round for the number of stitches:
51-53-55-57-59-61 cm — measuring from the start of the work, including the ribbing. It is recommended to finish at the boundary between textured patterns.
If necessary — decrease in the last round before the lower ribbing.
Switch to 4 mm needles and knit ribbing.
Finishing
Weave in yarn ends on the inside.
Wet and block to measurements, or steam the entire sweater.
Do not iron the ribbing!

-
K / P — knit / purl side

Short rows (German short rows):
-
K: knit the specified number of stitches, turn the work, bring the yarn forward, slip the first stitch as purl, move the yarn to the back needle, and pull (a double stitch is formed – dSt), turn back to the work.
-
P: the same, but slip the first stitch as knit.
Double stitches count as one. They are knitted:
