Knitted in one thread with a purl stitch pattern on the front and sleeves. For size 44-46 (s-m), about 6.5 skeins (315 g) were used. Knitting density is 1.3 stitches x 2.3 rows on needles #5 in purl stitch. You will need needles #5 and #4, markers if necessary.

Cast on 172 stitches +1 to join in the round using any stretchy method on needles #4, join and knit 6 cm (23 rows for me) in 2x2 ribbing, do not knit tightly.
Switch to needles #5, knit the front: marker for the beginning of the row, 23 purl stitches, then 40 stitches of the pattern (see in the carousel), 23 purl stitches, place a marker; knit 86 purl stitches for the back. Continue knitting in the round to the desired height (I have 60 rows; make sure the yarn overs in the pattern are on the right side to make knitting easier). Armhole shaping (turning knitting) starts from the 61st row (86 stitches for the front and back). Knit the armholes without decreases/increases – just the edge stitch.
Knit the front for another 4 rows without changes. From the 65th row, start knitting the lace pattern (diagram in the carousel). Continue knitting up to the start of the neckline shaping for another 38 rows – a total of 102 rows without ribbing. On the needles, there are 102 stitches: for the neckline 46, for the shoulders 28 stitches each + 1 stitch will be added in the 105th row from yarn overs. In the 103rd row, start closing the neckline stitches (on the right side of the front of the sweater, attach the yarn from the armhole on the purl side, so the right side row will become a purl row – for symmetrical closing of the neckline), and in the 111th row begin closing the shoulder stitches. A total of 119 rows were knitted, not counting the ribbing.

Back:

In the 60th row, transfer 86 back stitches to needles #5 and knit purl stitches until the start of the neckline and shoulder slope shaping for 54 rows, making increases of one stitch at the beginning and end of the row before the edge stitch (twisted stitch from the yarn over) once every 5 rows, starting from the 65th row (i.e., in the 65th, 70th, 75th, 80th, 85th, 90th, 95th, 100th, 105th). In total, there are 104 stitches on the needles and 114 rows. From the 115th row, start closing the neckline and shoulder slope stitches (closure diagram in the carousel). A total of 120 rows.

Sew the shoulders with a mattress stitch on the purl stitches, catching the upper wall of the edge stitch with the needle. The lower wall of the edge stitch will remain on the inside after sewing, so the seam looks neat and not bulky.

Neckline (cast on stitches from the purl side to the right side).

From the closed neckline stitches, cast on stitches for the ribbing on needles #4, starting from the left shoulder, as follows: for every two closed stitches, cast on 3 stitches on the needle. Thus, on the front needles, there will be 66 stitches + 2 stitches in the center = 68 stitches. For the back, from the central closed 26 stitches, cast on one stitch respectively, totaling 56 stitches (15+13+13+15). From the very first row, knit 3 cm in 2x2 ribbing (I have 12 rows). Close the stitches in a stretchy way.

Sleeves. Cast on stitches from the purl side to the right side on needles #5 in the following ratio: for 2 edge stitches, raise 3 working stitches. The resulting number of stitches should be odd to start the pattern (in the repeat + 1 edge + 1 in the underarm + 1 for the raglan). Start the pattern with a knit stitch. Knit 4 rows according to the pattern, in the 4th row start making increases on both sides every 4 rows 4 times, then every 6 rows – 4 times, every 8 rows – 4 times, every 10 rows – 4 times, and every 12 rows – 4 times (a total of 20 increases on each side). Switch to needles #4 and knit 36 rows in 2x2 ribbing. Close the stitches.
