Knitted pullover with yoke

Sizes: 36/38 (40/42) 44/46

You will need: yarn (100% wool; 80 m/50 g) — 700 (750) 800 g silver-gray; needles No. 4 and 5; circular needles No. 4.

Pattern 1: ribbing = rows in the forward and backward direction (even number of stitches).
Right side rows; edge stitch, alternately 1 twisted knit stitch, 1 purl, edge stitch.
Wrong side rows; edge stitch, alternately 1 knit stitch, 1 twisted purl stitch, edge stitch. Circular rows: alternately 1 twisted knit stitch, 1 purl.

Pattern 2: >stockinette stitch = right side rows — knit stitches, wrong side rows — purl stitches.

Pattern 3: lacy pattern (number of stitches multiple of 19 + 17 st.) = knit according to the chart. It shows the right and wrong side rows. Constantly repeat the 19 st. pattern between the arrows and finish with the first 17 st. of the pattern.

Constantly repeat rows 1-24.

Attention: make sure that the number of yarn overs and knitted together stitches in the outer pattern always matches.

Underlined decreases: from the right edge = edge stitch, knit 2 stitches together with a left slant (= 1 stitch slip as knit, 1 knit, then pull it through the slipped stitch). From the left edge = knit according to the pattern until the last 3 stitches, then knit 2 stitches together knitwise, edge stitch.

Knitting density: pattern 2 — 17 st. x 25 rows = 10 x 10 cm; pattern 3 — 17 st. x 27 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Work Description:

Back: cast on 94 (100) 108 stitches on needles No. 4 and knit 8 cm for the lower band using pattern 1. Continue working on needles No. 5 using pattern 2.

After 21.5 cm = 54 rows from the lower band, distribute stitches for the lacy yoke as follows: edge stitch, 28 (31) 35 stitches of pattern 2, 36 stitches of pattern 3, 28 (31) 35 stitches of pattern 2, edge stitch.

After 31 cm = 78 rows from the lower band, distribute the stitches as follows and simultaneously start working the raglan slopes: edge stitch, knit 2 stitches together with a left slant, 5 (0) 4 stitches of pattern 2, repeat the last 2 (10) 10 stitches of the pattern once, repeat the pattern 4 times, finish with the first 0 (8) 8 stitches of the pattern, 5 (0) 4 stitches of pattern 2, 2 stitches knitted together knitwise and 1 edge stitch = 92 (98) 106 stitches. Then underline decrease on both sides for raglan slopes in every 2nd row another 31 (33) 36 times 1 stitch.

Simultaneously after 23 cm = 62 rows (24.5 cm = 66 rows) 26.5 cm = 72 rows from the beginning of the raglan slopes, close the middle 20 (22) 24 stitches for the neckline and finish both sides separately.

After 24 cm = 64 rows (25.5 cm = 68 rows) 27.5 cm = 74 rows from the beginning of the raglan slopes, close the remaining 5 stitches, they belong to the neckline.

Front: knit as the back, but for a deeper neckline after 18 cm = 48 rows (19.5 cm = 52 rows) 21.5 cm = 58 rows from the start of the raglan slopes, close the middle 10 (12) 14 stitches and finish both sides separately.

To round the neckline at the inner edge, close in every 2nd row 1 x 4 stitches, 1 x 2 stitches and 1 x 1 stitch.

After 24 cm = 64 rows (25.5 cm = 68 rows) 27.5 cm = 74 rows from the beginning of the raglan slopes, close the remaining 3 stitches.

Sleeves: cast on 38 (40) 44 stitches for each sleeve on needles No. 4 and knit 8 cm for the band using pattern 1, while in the last row of the band increase 1 (1) 0 stitches = 39 (41) 44 stitches.

Continue working on needles No. 5 using pattern 2, while in the 1st row evenly increase 37 (39) 42 stitches = 76 (80) 86 stitches.

After 32 cm = 80 rows from the band, distribute the stitches as follows and simultaneously start working the raglan slopes: edge stitch, knit 2 stitches together with a left slant, start with the last 17 (0) 3 stitches of the pattern, repeat the pattern 2 (3) 4 times, finish with the first 15 (17) 1 stitch of the pattern, 2 stitches knitted together knitwise and 1 edge stitch = 74 (78) 84 stitches.

Continue knitting on both sides for the raglan slopes as on the back.

After 24 cm = 64 rows (25.5 cm = 68 rows) 27.5 cm = 74 rows from the beginning of the raglan slopes, close the remaining 12 stitches.

Assembly: sew the raglan seams. For the neckline band, cast on 80 (84) 88 stitches along the edge of the neckline on circular needles and knit 8 cm using pattern 1. Bind off loosely. Fold the neckline band in half with the wrong side in and sew it on. Sew the side seams and the sleeve seams.
