Knitting instructions
Cast on 104 (104) 104 (104) 104 (104) stitches on circular needles UK size 6 (5 mm) length 60 cm with 1 strand of Happy Fraya (or 2 strands of Cozy Fraya held together).
Knit in the round in ribbing, placing markers as follows:
1 knit (right sleeve), place marker, knit [2 purl, 1 knit, 1 purl, 1 knit, 1 purl, 1 knit] 7 times, 2 purl (front – total 51 stitches), place marker, 1 knit (left sleeve), place marker, knit [2 purl, 1 knit, 1 purl, 1 knit, 1 purl, 1 knit] 7 times, 2 purl (back – total from 51 stitches).
Knit the ribbing pattern as established until the height of the work is 3 cm.
Now knit short rows and increases on the sleeves as follows: M1knit, 1 knit, M1knit, remove marker, knit 7 stitches in ribbing, turn.
1 decrease, knit in ribbing, as the stitches remain at 7 stitches after the marker between the left sleeve and the front, turn.
Where M1knit = make 1 knit increase – lift the stitch between stitches on the left needle and knit it through the back stitch M1p = make 1 purl increase – lift the stitch between stitches on the left needle and knit it through the back stitch
Knit in ribbing as stitches are available and work increases on the left sleeve after the first stitch.
Marker as follows: slip marker, M1knit, 1 knit, M1knit, knit ribbing as stitches are present at the beginning of the round marker.
Continue as follows:
M1knit, 3 knit, M1knit, knit 14 stitches in ribbing, turn.
1 stitch, slip, knit in ribbing as stitches remain at 14 stitches after the marker between the left sleeve and the front, turn. slip 1 as knit, knit in ribbing on the available stitches and work increases on the left sleeve when you reach the first marker as follows:
Slip marker, M1knit, 3 knit, M1knit, knit in ribbing to the beginning of the round marker.
Switch to circular needles UK size 2 (7 mm) length 80 cm and knit in the round until there are stitches. Now there are 5 stitches on each sleeve and 51 stitches on the front and back.
Now knit the lace pattern with increases on the sleeves every other row. Continue to have 51 stitches on the front and back. New stitches on the sleeves are knitted according to the pattern. See the sleeve chart and start the sleeve on the 5th round of the chart.
Start as follows: *M1p, yarn over, 2 knit together through the column, 1 knit, 2 knit together, yarn over, M1p, slip marker, lace pattern, as per the chart through the next 51 stitches (starting from row 1 of the chart)*, repeat from * to * across the left sleeve and back.
Next row: knit stitches as they are, yarn overs knit.
Knit the next row with increases on the sleeves as follows: *1mn, 1 purl, 1 knit, yarn over, 3 knit together through the column, yarn over, 1 knit, 2 purl, M1p, knit lace pattern as per the chart on the next 51 stitches*, repeat from * to * across the left sleeve and back.
Next row: knit stitches as they are.
Continue to make increases on the sleeve every other row. New stitches are knitted according to the pattern, which means that the increases are knitted in the next row.
Size XS-S-M: with 51 (51) 51 stitches on the front and back and 35 (37) 39 stitches on each sleeve, the work is divided, the body and sleeves are worked separately. Place the stitches for the right sleeve on a stitch holder, cast on 4 (6) 8 new stitches in continuation of the stitches on the needle for the body and place a marker in the center of these stitches, knit the front according to the pattern, attach the stitches for the left sleeve on a stitch holder, cast on 4 (6) 8 new stitches in continuation of the stitches on the needle for the body and place a marker in the center of these stitches, knit the back according to the pattern. 1 stitch before and after the markers in the center of the new stitches are knitted as knit, and all other stitches are knitted according to the pattern.
Total of 55 (57) 59 stitches on the front and back. Continue according to the chart until the work measures 51 (52) 52 cm from the center of the neckline down.
Switch to circular needles size 6 (5 mm) UK length 60 cm and continue the ribbing pattern as stitches are available until the ribbing measures 4 cm. Bind off loosely.
Size L - XL - XXL: when there are 51 (51) 51 stitches on the front and back and 31 (31) 31 stitches on each.
Sleeves, increases are made on both sleeves and body every row. New stitches on the front and back are also knitted according to the pattern.
When there are (61) 63 (69) stitches left on the front and back and (41) 43 (49) stitches on each sleeve, the work will be finished, divided, and the body and sleeves worked separately. Place the stitches for the right sleeve on a stitch holder, cast on 6 (6) 8 new stitches in continuation of the stitches on the needle for the body and place a marker in the center of these stitches, knit the front according to the pattern, transfer the stitches for the left sleeve to the stitch holder, cast on 6 (6) 8 new stitches in continuation of the stitches on the needle for the body and place a marker in the center of these stitches, knit the back according to the pattern. 1 stitch before and after the markers in the center of the new stitches are knitted as knit, and all other stitches are knitted according to the pattern. There are a total of (67) 69 (77) stitches on the front and back. Continue according to the chart until the work measures (52) 52 (53) cm from the center of the neckline down.
Switch to circular needles size 6 (5 mm) UK length 60 cm and continue the ribbing pattern as stitches are available until the ribbing measures 4 cm. Bind off loosely.
SLEEVES
Cast on stitches for the sleeve on circular needles size 2 (7 mm) 40 cm. Pick up and knit 4 (6) 8 (6) 6 (8) stitches along the stitches picked up at the underarm on the body and place a marker in the center of these stitches. A total of 39 (43) 47 (47) 49 stitches remain on the needles. Continue according to the chart until the sleeve height is 35 (36) 37 (38) 38 cm from the underarm down.
Switch to UK size 6 (5 mm) needles with double-pointed ends.
Work the decreases before the ribbing:
Size XS (39 stitches): 1 knit, *2 purl together, 2 knit together through 1 purl, 2 knit together*, repeat from * to * until the last 3 stitches, 2 purl together, 1 knit.
Size S (43 stitches): 1 purl, 2 knit together, *2 purl together, 2 knit together through the column, 1 purl, 2 knit together*, repeat from * to * until the last 5 stitches, 2 purl together, 2 knit together through the column, 1 knit.
Size M - L - XL - XXL: evenly decrease 20 (20) 22 (28) stitches around.
All sizes: knit in ribbing 1 purl, 1 knit on all 27 (27) 27 (29) stitches until the height of the ribbing is 8 cm. Bind off loosely.
FINISHING
Weave in all ends. Gently steam the finished work according to the yarn label instructions.
