Knitted pullover

You will need: 400 (450) 500 g of white yarn Elastico (96% cotton, 4% polyester, 160 m/50 g); straight and circular needles No. 3.5.

Lace pattern, straight and reverse rows: even number of stitches. Each row starts and ends with 1 edge stitch. 1st and 2nd rows: knit all stitches. 3rd row: * knit 2 stitches together knit, 1 yarn over, repeat from *. 4th row: knit all stitches and yarn overs purl. 5th and 6th rows: knit all stitches.

Lace pattern, circular rows: even number of stitches. 1st and 2nd circular rows: purl stitches. 3rd and 4th circular rows: knit stitches. 5th circular row: * knit 2 stitches together knit, 1 yarn over, 1 knit, repeat from *. 6th and 7th circular rows: knit all stitches and yarn overs. 8th and 9th circular rows: purl stitches.

Lacy pattern: number of stitches multiple of 10 + 1 + 2 edge stitches. Knit according to the chart, which shows only knit rows; in purl rows, knit stitches according to the pattern or as indicated, purl yarn overs. Repeat the pattern between the edge stitches. Knit once from the 1st to the 26th row, then repeat from the 11th to the 26th row.

Knit stitch: knit row — knit stitches, purl row — purl stitches.

Knitting gauge: 27 stitches and 30.5 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Back: cast on 121 (138) 155 stitches and knit 1 purl row knit. This row does not count in further calculations. Then knit for the hem 2 cm = 6 rows in lace pattern and after that knit in lacy pattern. After 36 cm = 110 rows (33 cm = 100 rows) 30 cm = 92 rows from the hem, bind off 8 stitches for armholes on both sides = 105 (122) 139 stitches. After 53 cm = 162 rows from the hem, bind off all stitches, with the middle 65 (68) 71 stitches forming the neck opening and the outer 20 (27) 34 stitches on each side forming the shoulders.

Front: knit the same way, but for the neck opening bind off the middle 35 (38) 41 stitches after 44 cm = 134 rows from the hem and finish both sides separately. For rounding, bind off from the inner edge every 2nd row 1 x 3, 1 x 2 and 10 x 1 stitch. At the height of the back, bind off the remaining 20 (27) 34 stitches of the shoulder on each side.

Sleeves: cast on 70 (87) 104 stitches and knit 1 purl row knit. Then knit the hem as on the back, and after that knit in lacy pattern. After 29 cm = 88 rows from the hem, increase for the sleeve slope on both sides 1 stitch and in every 4th row 10 x 1 stitch in knit stitch = 92 (109) 126 stitches. After 45 cm = 138 rows from the hem, bind off all stitches.

Assembly: sew the shoulder seams. Around the neck opening, cast on 146 (152) 158 stitches on circular needles and knit circular rows in lace pattern for the hem. After the 9th circular row, bind off all stitches knit. Set in the sleeves, sew the side seams and sleeve seams.
