Bright and warm sleeveless vest - a definite hit of the winter season. The vest can be complemented with pockets or a belt that will accentuate your waist.

You will need: Sirdar Babouska yarn (52% wool, 39% acrylic, 9% nylon, 115 m/50 g) - 250(300)350(400)450(500) g of red/maroon color, needles #5.5 and #4.5; circular needles #4.5 and #5.5.
Ribbing 2x2: knit alternately 2 knit stitches and 2 purl stitches.
Stockinette stitch: knit rows - knit stitches, purl rows - purl stitches.
Knitting gauge; 14 sts x 19 rows in stockinette stitch on needles #5.5 = 10 x 10 cm.
Back: on needles #4.5 cast on 66(74)78(86)94(102) sts with red yarn, knit 8 cm in ribbing 2x2. Then knit 1 purl row with purl stitches, evenly adjusting the number of stitches to 61(69)75(83)89(97) sts. Change to needles #5.5 and knit in stockinette stitch.
At the height of the work 48(48)50(52)54(56) cm make markers on the sides to mark the beginning of the armholes. Continue knitting straight. Knit with maroon yarn similarly to the sleeveless vest with pockets. For the belt on needles #4.5 cast on 7 sts, knit 110(115)120(130)135(140) cm in ribbing 1x1, bind off the stitches.
