Seamless knitted short jacket

A short-sleeved jacket is knitted with thick yarn. The description is given for all sizes.

Sizes of the jacket: XS(S)M(L)XL(XXL)

Finished garment measurements: bust circumference - 76(84)92(100)110(120) cm, length - 47(49)51(53)55(58) cm.

Materials

Yarn Novita Kelo (50% wool, 50% acrylic, 50 m/50 g) - 400(400)450(500)550(600) g of orange color (277).

Needles No. 8.

1 button.

Pattern "tangle": knit alternately 1 knit st. and 1 purl st., shifting the pattern by 1 st. in each row.

Pattern 1: knit according to chart 1.

Pattern 2: knit according to chart 2.

Garter stitch: knit rows - only knit stitches.

Knitting gauge: 10 sts x 17 rows of "tangle" pattern = 10 x 10 cm.

Attention! The item is knitted as a single piece from the lower edge of the back to the fronts.

Execution

Back: cast on 42(46)50(54)58(62) sts and knit, starting from the 1st purl row, distributing the stitches as follows: 11(13)15(17)19(21) sts of "tangle" pattern, 20 sts of pattern 1, 11(13)15(17)19(21) sts of "tangle" pattern. Repeat pattern 1 in height from rows 1 to 2. At a height of 28(29)30(31)32(34) cm to form the sleeve, increase 2 sts on both sides. Repeat the increases every 2nd row 2 more times = 54(58)62(66)70(74) sts.

At armhole height of 16(17)18(19)20(21) cm for the neck opening, bind off the middle 20 sts, set aside the right side stitches and continue knitting only the left side. To round the neck opening, bind off 2 sts once and 1 st once on the inner side in every 2nd row = 14(16)18(20)22(24) sts. At armhole height 19(20)21(22)23(24) cm, the shoulder edge is reached.

Left front: continue knitting straight for about 7 cm. Then, to round the neck opening, increase 2 times 1 st and 1 time 3 sts and 1 time 11 sts on the inner side in every 2nd row = 30(32)34(36)38(40) sts. Knit the increased sts with pattern 2, repeat C-D pattern (= 16 sts). Repeat pattern 2 in height from rows 1 to 6. When the height of the armhole equals the height of the back armhole, bind off 2 sts 3 times on the left (side) each 2nd row = 24(26)28(30)32(34) sts. Continue knitting the stitches according to the pattern. When the height of the front equals the height of the back, bind off all stitches. Make a mark on the edge of the front for the button placement at a distance of 2 cm from the top edge.

Right front: knit symmetrically to the left front, but knit the increased stitches with pattern 2, repeat A-B. Simultaneously, at the marked place, knit a buttonhole: knit the stitches according to the pattern in the knit row until there are 5 stitches left in the row, knit 2 sts together knitwise and make a yarn over, finish the row.

Assembly: lay the garment on a horizontal surface, dampen from the inside and let dry. Sew the side seams. Along the edge of the neck opening, evenly pick up 68 sts, knit 4 cm in garter stitch. Bind off the stitches. Sew on the button.
