A narrow shawl-scarf of fashionable shape with a lace edge - a variation of lily of the valley!
You will need Elann Peruvian Baby Cashmere yarn (60% alpaca, 30% merino, 10% cashmere;
25 g/100m) – 100g of the main color and 25g of an additional color, circular needles 4.0mm - 5.0mm.

162cm
Knitting density: 20 stitches = 10 cm, needles 4.0mm
The lace pattern for the edge is taken from the book by Barbara G. Walker "Second Treasury of Knitting Patterns", page
350-351, pattern Roman Stitch from the book by Barbara G. Walker "A Treasury of Knitting
Patterns", page 13.
The shawl-scarf is knitted as one piece.
Notes:
1.
Knit the bobbles loosely.
2. An alternative way to knit the bobble - knit 1 stitch,
yarn over twice, knit 1 stitch, yarn over twice, knit 1 stitch, yarn over twice, knit 1 stitch. In the next row, slip 7 stitches onto the right needle one by one, dropping the extra yarn overs.
Insert the left needle into the stitches and purl them together as usual.
3.
Count each bobble as 1 stitch.
4. Wrap and turn - W&T: bring the yarn to the front, slip 1 stitch onto the right needle as if to purl, bring the yarn to the back, return the slipped stitch to the left needle, turn the work.
5. s2lpr = slip 2 stitches as if to knit, knit 1 stitch, drop the 2 slipped stitches over the knitted
stitch (pass over)

Switch to the main color.

Main part of the shawl
Switch to the main color and to 4mm needles.
Start short rows:
Row 1 (wrong side): purl all stitches.
Row 2: knit all stitches to 149 stitches, W&T.
Row 3: place a marker, 9 purl, W&T.
Row 4: place a marker, *(1 knit, 1 purl)*, finish 1 stitch before the marker, remove the marker, 1 purl, 1 knit, 1 purl, 1 knit, W&T.
Row 5: place a marker, *(1 knit, 1 purl)*, finish 1 stitch before the marker, remove the marker, 1 purl, 1 knit, 1 purl, 1 knit, W&T.
Row 6: place a marker, knit to the marker, remove the marker, 4 knit, W&T.
Row 7: place a marker, purl to the marker, remove the marker, 4 purl, W&T.
Repeat rows 4-7 until all stitches have been knitted, finish with row 5.
Knit 1 knit row - all stitches knit,
break the yarn.
Switch to contrasting color.
2 rows – purl all stitches, 1 row – knit all stitches, 1 row – knit all stitches, bind off stitches.
Finishing work
Weave in ends.
Soak the scarf and block to size. Leave to dry.
