"Stockholm Scarf" Snood with a Reversible Pattern Knitted with Needles

The snood scarf is designed to be worn wrapped twice around the neck. It can be knitted from two halves that are then sewn together, or as one piece in the round. The pattern is simple to execute and looks the same on both sides, giving a neat appearance when twisted. It knits up quickly, as thick size 6 needles are used. Circular needles size 6, 60-90 cm long.
600 meters of thick yarn.
Yarn needle.

Dimensions: 95?35 cm.
Gauge: 14 stitches x 23 rows = 10x10 cm. pattern for the scarf.

Cast on 128 stitches (or 256 for knitting the scarf in the round)

Row 1: *1 knit, 1 purl, 3 knit, 2 purl.* repeat until 2 stitches remain; finish with 1 knit, 1 purl..
Row 2: *1 knit, 1 purl, 1 knit, yarn over, 1 knit, slip 1 stitch purlwise, 2 purl, pull 2 purl over the slipped stitch* repeat until 2 stitches remain; finish with 1 knit, 1 purl..
Row 3: *1 knit, 1 purl, 2 knit, 3 purl.* repeat until 2 stitches remain; finish with 1 knit, 1 purl..
Row 4: *1 knit, 1 purl, slip 1 stitch purlwise, 2 knit, pull 2 knit over the slipped stitch, 1 purl, yarn over, 1 purl.* repeat until 2 stitches remain; finish with 1 knit, 1 purl..

Repeat these 4 rows until the height of the scarf reaches 35 cm.
Bind off all stitches. Sew the halves together if knitting was not done in the round.
Weave in the ends of the yarn.
