Thick yarn, needles #6. Cast on 30 stitches, knit 6 rows in garter stitch (gauge 30 stitches - 24 cm). Divide into 5 parts of 6 stitches each, knit each stripe separately in stockinette stitch for 20 cm, gather each stripe on a pin. After knitting, gather all 30 stitches onto 1 needle, knit 50 cm in garter stitch. Again divide into 5 parts of 6 stitches. Knit each stripe separately for 20 cm in stockinette stitch. Then interlace each stripe with the previous ones, as in the photo, gather the stripes onto one needle, knit 6 rows in garter stitch. Bind off. To finish, attach the fringe.
