This delicate scarf, made with a mesh patent pattern, is knitted from an almost weightless yet very warm 100% cashmere Zageo from 6 strands by Jade Sapphire, which, combined with the exquisite interweaving of threads, creates an impression of lightness, comfort, and warmth. Materials: 4 skeins of Zageo cashmere yarn in 6 strands from Jade Sapphire (100% Mongolian cashmere); you can also use Mambo yarn (100% merino wool). Circular or straight needles size 5. Knitting gauge: 24 stitches = 10 cm of knitted fabric. Size When finished: width 20.5 cm, length 160 cm. Notes: On the purl side, slip the stitches without knitting. Slip the stitches with the yarn in front if there are no other instructions. For calculating the required width of the fabric, the number of cast-on stitches must be a multiple of 6 + 1. 1l/pst (1 knit stitch under the slipped stitch). Bring the right needle under the dropped stitch and knit the next stitch. Continue knitting in stockinette stitch (see diagram). Pattern: Cast on 49 stitches. Row 1 (purl): slip the edge stitch, do not knit (see notes above), 1 purl, 1 knit, knit purls until the last 3 stitches, 1 knit, 2 purls. Row 2 (knit): slip the edge stitch, yarn behind the stitch, 1 knit, 1 purl, *1 knit, slip 5 stitches, repeat from * to the last 4 stitches, 1 knit, 2 purls. Row 3 and all subsequent purl rows: repeat Row 1. Row 4: slip the edge stitch, yarn behind the stitch, 1 knit, 1 purl, *3 knits, knit 1 knit under the slipped stitch (1 l/pst, see instructions above), 2 knits, repeat from * to the last 4 stitches, 1 knit, 1 purl, 2 knits. Row 6: slip the edge stitch, yarn behind the stitch, 1 knit, 1 purl, slip 3 stitches, *1 knit, slip 5 stitches, repeat from * to the last 7 stitches, 1 knit, slip 3 stitches, 1 purl, 2 knits. Row 8: slip the edge stitch, yarn behind the stitch, 1 knit, 1 purl, *1 l/pst, 5 knits, repeat from * to the last 4 stitches, 1 p/pst, 1 purl, 2 knits. Repeat rows 1-8 until the length of the fabric reaches 10 cm, or until the length seems sufficient to you. Repeat Row 1. Bind off stitches knitwise.
