I knitted in 4 colors of yarn: brown, white, turquoise, and blue. You can use any colors and not necessarily 4. Cast on 29 stitches. Then knit with short rows, not completing 3 stitches: Rows 1-2 - 29 stitches. Rows 3-4 - 26 stitches. Rows 5-6 - 23 stitches. Rows 7-8 - 20 stitches. Rows 9-10 - 17 stitches. Row 11 - 14 stitches, but knit 1 knit, 1 purl with the yarn behind the work Row 12 - 14 stitches: 1 knit, 1 purl with the yarn in front of the work. Now increase by 3 stitches. Rows 13-14 - 17 stitches. Rows 15-16 - 20 stitches. Rows 17-18 - 23 stitches. Rows 19-20 - 26 stitches. Rows 21-22 - 29 stitches. Rows 23-24 - knit on 29 stitches 1 knit, 1 purl as in rows 11-12. Rows 25-26 - 29 stitches. This forms 1 wedge of the pattern, a total of 4 are needed. After the 4th wedge, bind off the stitches, sew with the cast-on edge, and tighten the toe, secure the yarn. Then using double-pointed needles, cast on 40 stitches, starting from the middle of the third wedge with dots to the middle of the second wedge and knit the fabric to the desired length before the heel, knit the heel on the middle 10 stitches according to the principle of knitting a sock heel.
