After knitting 10-12 cm, we will have a rectangle. Do not close the stitches.
On the sides of the rectangle, cast on additional stitches (approximately 23-25) with light-colored yarn.
We create "teeth" on three sides of the rectangle:
Knit 4 rows in stockinette stitch,
Row 5 - slip the edge stitch, *knit 2 stitches together, yarn over* - to the end of the row.
Knit another 3 rows in stockinette stitch. Fold the knitting along the row where we have yarn overs and join the starting row with the last row: knit 1 stitch from the first row and one stitch from the last row together.
Then we incorporate the stitches from the pins and knit the height of the slipper 3-4 cm in garter stitch with dark yarn.
We move on to knitting the sole. For this, we mark the middle 12 stitches and knit them with short rows until we close all side stitches.
To create the heel, we cast on the height of the slipper from both sides with 16-18 stitches. We knit the middle 12 stitches as a heel in the sock using short rows.
The top of the slippers is finished with "teeth". I sew them with a needle.
Finished slippers can be decorated as desired.

After that, we sew the teeth with a needle. We proceed to the sole, which we knit with the second color in garter stitch when you start knitting the sole. You need to decrease in every second row, knitting the first two stitches together... then two together before the central stitch... knit the central stitch and again two together and the last two together.
Cast on 51 stitches with dark yarn, knit 8 rows in garter stitch. Then divide all stitches into three parts: 17+17+17, and knit only the middle part. Temporarily place the side stitches on large pins.
The middle part can be decorated with any pattern. I have "butterflies".
