Next, we knit on 2 needles (24 stitches) with knit stitches, and on two (24 stitches) – the pattern (this is the top of the slipper).
Heel:
We divide 24 stitches into 3 parts:
8 stitches each
We knit only the middle 8 stitches, making decreases at the end of each row by knitting 2 stitches together: on the front side – knit 2 together, and on the back side – purl 2 together.
We continue this until there are 18 stitches left on the needles; then we pick up the side stitches and knit in the round, making decreases until there are 12 stitches left on the needles
Row 2 – 5 purls, 2 together knit inclined to the right, 4 knits, 1 yarn over, 1 knit; and in a mirror image: 1 knit, 1 yarn over, 4 knits, 2 together knit inclined to the left, 5 purls.
Row 3 – 4 purls, 2 together, 4 knits, yarn over, 2 knits; and in a mirror image: 2 knits, yarn over, 4 knits, 2 together, 4 purls.
Row 4 – 3 purls, 2 together, 4 knits, yarn over, 3 knits; and in a mirror image: 3 knits, yarn over, 4 knits, 2 together, 3 purls.
